Limun: Fist, not only Men react, Women do it too , second are you saying that we have no responsibility for our actions?
women do it too sure....but I wouldn't say they harass anyone....I think every person knows the difference between attention and harassment...so in every scenario we are all responsible for our actions and our actions come from us not the other person......
M4_Mischief: I don't know...did you repeatedly cause them anguish etc?....not to mention its within your control to respond or not....I would go with made fun of and no doubt they weren't even real accounts so you were just making fun of a picture.....
Me? We all did it. Men and Women but thats not the point Its about Human nature -we see something, we react ... We ridiculed them ,

Didnt you just post about the differ4ence between Harassment and assault? Where Harassment is a verbal delict and we all know that women have a richer vocabulary when it comes to ``showing attention``

human nature also needs boundaries or there would be no need for laws....most people are gonna know those lines and some people are gonna know them and cross them anyway and others are just gonna plain take what isn't theirs.....
That's true...but also if a person has it in them to harass someone...it isn't gonna matter what they are wearing or not...there is absolutely no correlation at all to clothing and harassment...it solely has to do with the person harassing....no matter common sense or human nature....one person does not have the right to harass another regardless of anything else....if someone puts a boundary in place...stop...its as simple as that.....
me=mine...if it comes from me its my responsibility
you=yours...if it comes from your its your responsibility
I didn't say anything about cat-calling Krema and if I meant that, I would have used the phrase 'verbal assault'.
If you think wearing jeans and jumper somehow will protect you from attack, that you will only ever be admired from afar, then you are being very naiive.
With respect to suggesting that women receive the attention they are aiming for by the way they dress, you are playing a dangerous game. You are assuming that a perpetrator will interpret your dress the way you do. I would suggest a perpetrator is likely to interpret your appearance to suit his own agenda, not yours. They're unlikely to be thoughtful and empathetic, wouldn't you say?
The way to reduce harassment, bullying and assault of this nature is to send the message that it is not acceptable, no matter how women dress.
Yes, limun, I have made fun of certain profile pics, particularly the time I thought a poor chap had a nasty case of tennis elbow before I realised it was, in fact, a picture of his knob.

Yep....that's a presumption and interpretation by the person looking....so its not the way a person is dressed that is the problem but the problem is with the interpreter which has nothing to do with the woman and the way she is dressed at all.....

Limun: You have the right to dress, anyway you want and live in denial that the way we choose to show up affects people around us ... and its not always in a positive way
jac_the_gripper: Yes, limun, I have made fun of certain profile pics, particularly the time I thought a poor chap had a nasty case of tennis elbow before I realised it was, in fact, a picture of his knob.
If that's harassment, I can only apologise.
Why are you apologizing ... there are sites where people can post nudity, this is not one of those AKA One should chose where and how he or she shows up If I show up on a nudist beach, wearing a fur coat ...people are gonna make fun of me
If I was walking down the street and I met a guy approaching, in a state of arousal, in Lycra bottoms, with all his bits on display, do I think he has a right to wear what he likes?? Hell No!!

He probably expects those who don't like it to remove themselves from the street or look the other way... It's me against the rest isn't it...
aries1234: I think the discussion wasgoing quite well without nanny Serene
Shut up Grandpa.
My point is, in seeing two young women in the past week, without the word of a lie, walk through a local shopping centre clutching their crotches to pull their tiny shorts out of their .....
If they don't think passing men would be ogling that, they need an education.
I often see young ones out on a Saturday night, and I do an internal eye roll at what they are wearing. However, if someone decided they could assault them in any way because of what they were wearing, I would split their head in two without a thought. Nobody can stop thoughts, but they can stop actions.
