...isn't it time to acknowledge defeat (strictly in dating terms, that is). Perhaps some of us are simply not geared for partnership. So why are you still here? Are you just 'gaming the audience'? You enjoy the attention, the constant stream of inbox interest? Or are you a hopeless hopeful? I realise it's a tough question, but it's real, no? And before everyone goes ballistic, I am not referring to those who are simply here to enjoy the forums. So please, no catatonic statements about 'I'm only here for the threads!!' yes, I'm talking about you. :-)

Well I am not that old here but I can give my own ....we however only have our moment of youth once. Taking us here will NEVER get this time back. Rather we can Use it doing things we love . We have all the time in the world not lose hope
Why should anyone have to answer to you or anyone else on such matters??
Oh dear, do you feel challenged? That was not my intention. An open post on the forums is for public consumption, and optional commenting. It is not meant as a personal critique on your personal situation, if that is the case. Please accept my apologies.
Well, after a while you realise that the best you can do is to make yourself comfortable in the forums and if, I repeat, if you happen to be stricken by a lightning then fine... And least you don't live with the frustrating feeling of failure every day...

It depends on why someone joins CS whether they acknowledge defeat. I joined longer then 10 years ago because I wanted to socialize with people and it worked out great I wasn't looking for a relationship however I did meet two men but they didn't fit my lifestyle Now I don't sign on often because I'm not attracted to the thread subjects.
Soooooooooooooooooo, do I admit defeat? Absolutely not !
This is my second tour on CS. During the first I frankly tried to date, but all attention I've got was from another countries. I've had a few dates with men from other countries... well, Gothenburg is closer to Kopenhagen and Oslo than Stockholm, but still Danmark and Norway are "other countries" and the worst thing that can happen is that you like each other. (Happened to me with a gentleman from Finland.) Then what? If neither of you are ready to move, it's only a way to hurting yourself and the other.
So I switched the dating purpose to participating in a forum (EU at that time) and learning English (you could learn good English from then EU forum). Then I met a man in the real life and left CS.
Now I'm back. I won't say "no" to a date, though for the 3 years of my second tour on CS I've got only 4 letters from Swedish men: 2 were much younger than I find it's appropriate and 2 lived hours by train away.
Yes, I'd like to have a date. Meanwhile I can hang on the fora.
Does male population find me unattractive? Well... I still can hang on the fora :)

Hey, thanks for your honesty. dating online is like selling real estate....it's all about location, location.

Well you won't win but if you keep trying there'll always be the sense that you deserved to. Plus we've come too far to give up now. You have to push on, push on to Moscow.

Everyone has their own reasons for being on the forums, just accept that some people you will-like and some you won't and vice versa , just have fun in your chosen niche.
