One2note: You mean , the freedom to live ?
The freedom to live is correct. Tey have taken it away, forced us to wear facemasks, not visit my mother, not even could go to my work in the museum or in the spring teach my pupils how to play proper chess.
Not a chance to go to the pub while in my area there are maybe 71 people positive out of 22.000!!!
I was scared in the spring when I walked through the supermarket, scared would come to close to me, but now, I don't care.

They can't scare me no more.

I found a site that tells me exactly how many positive tests were taken last week in my city/area. But they calculate from 100.000 people. Why not 10.000.000 then the number of infections would raise even more. They don't tell us how many negative tests there were taken.

So think for yourself, don't be scared, and certainly don't believe what they tell you.
Okay, today around 8000 positive tests in the Netherlands upon a population of 17.5 million. And then they say it's much worse than yesterday, allthough yesterday they tested a lot less people, if you work with %'s then there is no raise!!! And when you calculate 17.5 million/8k it's 1 on each 2187 people can infect me, I don't see 2187 people a day, not even in a week!!!

I thought the same as you to begin with , but I know first hand how it’s affected many people I know . I’ve known young people in their 40s With no heath conditions, who have struggled after catching the virus . Apart from the constant high temperature, struggling to breath was also a symptom.
Trust me , it ain’t pleasant..

It taught us to breath... and to stop and enjoy life's simple pleasures. It also reminded us of the value of connection.

One2note: 2020 , will forever be known for the year of the Wuhan virus ..
It has been a year of sacrifices , with the majority of it spent at home , away from family, friends & loved ones .
Many of us have lost loved ones, not only the vulnerable but the fit , young & people who were thought to have a high immune system. The virus took no prisoners .
But what has 2020 taught us . From my own personal experience, it’s taught me to be humble & never to take being alive for granted .

Roll on 2021
I think 2020 taught us how fragile we are from one point of view and how harmful we are for nature from the other side. But I am not sure if everybody will draw the right conclusions

Medicine isn't as advanced as hoped.

Having good people in your life to rely on is vital.

I like the simpler lifestyle that working from home and staying more at home enabled me. Downside is not seeing my family by far as often as I would have liked.

One2note: The dilemma we face now is , will we be punished if we refuse to take the vaccine. By punished I mean.. will we be allowed to travel , or be allowed in social gatherings if we abstain from the vaccine. Will our jobs be affected?
The Australian Prime Minister let us/Australians announced the vaccine will NOT be compulsory..applause
