We have Blessing Boxes around town so have stopped a few times to drop several food items inside for the needy.

Practicing writing Poetry per one of posts which inspired me

Went on a trip to a nearby small Omish community the last 75 degree day of the season and took some pics of their animals, Llamas, Shetland Pony, etc

Went shopping with a kid and her Xmas list

Trying to find unique gifts for a few relatives online

Drove through a huge Christmas display at a local business

Drove through downtown and saw all the Christmas lights and decorations

Great list! santa

But please consider keeping the food and money for yourself. We are "the needy" now, difficult as that is for most to except.

Yes it’s important to look after yourself but if you have extra you should always help others.

I always support local charities when I can but have supported more then normal this year not because I have loads of money but because I have everything I need and would hate to think of someone hungry or a child not getting a gift at Christmas..... hug

Making Christmas fun for 2nd time for a special 10 year old little Girl.

Getting over a Car crash but grateful for no serious injuries...and grateful to be able to hire a car until sorted.

Looking forward to spreading some xmas cheer when I see my entire family for first time in weeks this weekend.

That's not a nice attitude to have at Christmas or at anytime really.
If you are picking up a few things for yourself or have duplicates of things at home, it won't break the bank to donate to some who have less.

It's' called the "Spirit of Giving"

Merry Christmas.

Tara, you don't know how close she or anyone else is to "breaking the bank". I have a roof over my head, food in the fridge, the heat is on but if you saw my bank balance you would think I am destitute and in need of financial help from the community. I am not in need of food or money from anyone else. A Christmas gift would be nice but I'd rather something be given to a child who hasn't had a gift in a long time.

My gift to you gift

My gift to you
It is not my intent for anyone to break the bank but don't tell someone not to give. I am lucky that, I too, have a roof over my head, heat, groceries, etc. My bank balance isn't where it should be, not even close but I still donate when I can.
If someone either doesn't want to help or can't help, that's their issue and I wish them the best either way. If someone doesn't have, it shouldn't mean someone else shouldn't have. All charities are at compacity and are doing the best they can with help from people like you and I.
Without it, a lot more children would go hungry instead of just without a gift.

It does not break my bank to donate can goods, snacks, and drinks to a Blessing Box. Those boxes are up in my city where the most need is.

I finished one Christmas mandala painting and plan to paint another one tomorrow. I haven't painted with acrylics for a while and it's a lot of fun! applause
