And What is everyone doing to help others in this world who are starving today?
The head of the world’s biggest food aid agency has a stark warning for European leaders: Pay more now to stave off global hunger or suffer a migration crisis later.
Russia's war in Ukraine has sent a shockwave through international food markets, worsening the already dire problem of global hunger by disrupting supply and inflating prices. That risks tipping the poorest, most famine-ravaged regions of the planet into political chaos and creating an unprecedented migration crisis, according to David Beasley, the World Food Programme’s executive director.

" Will the impending food crisis push more and more hungry people into Europe?"
From what I've seen on the news "Tv" the Uk is doing all it can to help the Ukrainians and others. I'm not talking about the Government I'm talking about the Uk people/citizens that run Charities. They're trying their best to take over food/medical supplies etc....Our people are donating food/clothes etc.. every day to these Charities and then taken over to where they're needed. Where as if you donate money "I'M NOT SAYING ALL" but sometimes our Government takes a percentage of the money donated to certain Charities
I actually get lost now with Europe. Eastern/ Western Europe. Asia? How many Countries come under Asia? is it 48? I'd rather state a Country much easier for me I still do inches, feet, yards, miles, furlongs, chains. ounces. pounds, stones etc........Something that was taught and instilled in our minds at primary school. Luckily I was young enough to learn the conversion from £'s Shillings and Pence
I wonder how suddenly after a month of a military conflict the world has gone hysterical and food is the number one problem. I believe it's part of the constant stress someone wants us to experience non stop. Don't get too relaxed after Covid, there's more to come... As a matter of fact just few years back farmers were throwing their production now some people are telling us there's food shortage... That's a lie... Even our government had the guts to tell us we are not short of anything...
Youcannow: I’m just dreading the fact that we may see a new updated version of “feed the world” with a new band aid cast & no doubt Bob Geldof leading the charge
Funny you should say that.. And it's Sir Bob Geldof to you..

Jaavisst: Leftist governments are happy! More imported poor people who will vote red for the rest of their life time.
Let's some them some money now then. Money they can use in their own land in their own cultures by transferring £2 directly to their mobile phone. Cut out the middleman, cut out Bob Geldof, cutout the food parcel that teaches the poor how not to grown their own food decimating agriculture and driving farmers out of business so that they starve tomorrow instead of today. Transfer the money directly and we can feed the hungry of the world and defeat the policies of communism.

Money can be used for many things whether it's the purchase of a new tractor or teaching a man to fish, not becoming a grinning warlord's mercenary etc. Stability built from the bottom up by helping people to help themselves. But if you give a man a fish he'll break his fishing rod up for firewood.
NAKEDMUDPEOPLE: Is it the shortage of petro to move the food or the food? Because of sanctions placed on Russia, Russa wants gold-backed rubles to pay for gas.
According to politco's report it is both food and transportation of food at issue.
"Russia and Ukraine are among the world’s biggest producers and exporters of grain. The disruption caused by the war has a direct impact on countries that rely on these supplies in the Middle East and Africa.
Half of Africa's wheat imports come from Ukraine and Russia, which is also a major fertilizer exporter. As for Ukraine, its exports have ground to a halt and its capacity to keep growing food this year is hanging by a thread. The crunch point will come in the fall, Beasley said, when the full impact of the war’s disruption is likely to be felt."
Miss_Cellaneous: So Blair is a w@nker and according to another Thread, Margaret Thatcher was a witch along with many other names and glad that she's dead "very childish" when the same people keep going on and on regarding Israel and Palestine
So who were/are the best Uk Prime Ministers then Answers on a postcard, ask the audience, 50/50, phone a friend
Jaavisst: The best Swedish statsminister is a dead one to! I have a hard time remembering any good leader.
As I'm old and being out of the Uk for a number of years, I haven't kept up with Uk Politics. I very vaguely remember Winston Churchill. Only from what my late Mum n Dad told me and from looking up or watching documentaries regarding him. Maggie, I was still only in my early 20's so didn't follow politics that much, again, only from my Mum n Dad.
I think we all dislike politicians, no matter which "Party" they represent. Fact of life now. No matter what we say, won't make a difference until we have the chance to "vote"
