Okay; I'm going to let my vanity show here, but there is something that is really bugging me.
Apart from the obvious, that women tend to be more vain than men, why don't more men color their hair when it starts turning gray? I've seen very few women, of any age, on these sites with gray hair, but it seems that about 90% of men over 45 are gray.
Now I know that gray hair on men appeals to some ladies, and that's fine. To each his or her own. I guess I'm one of the ones that is of the opinion that if God had intended us to have gray hair, He wouldn't have given us the knowledge to create hair color. In my opinion, there are very few people, male or female, who can pull off gray and look really good. Most people can take 10 years off their appearance just by coloring their hair...as long as is is natural looking and not overdone. It can be very subtle.
I have to confess that this one thing, however shallow it might be, has kept me from being interested in quite a few men that I might otherwise find attractive. A person can't help what they do and don't find attractive. Just seems to me that if a person is looking for a mate, they'd want to do everything they could to make themselves as attractive as possible. There's a lot of things we can't change about getting older, but why not change what we can?
Maybe I'm way off base here. I'd be interested in the opinions of ohers on this issue.

because we're not vain? It's the truth of who we are. Personally I find the superficial personality unattractive.
I change my cloths, what more do you want?? Besides once I take them off your going to notice more grey, then you'll want me spending the whole day with chemical peroxide and dye formulas trying to meet your standards, just so you can be attracted???

My sister won't introduce me to any of her girlfriends under 50 because I won't dye my beard.I don't care nor do I have the time to get in there with that little brush and chemicals every morning.BTW I still outwork and have more energy than most pople.Natural is better.

My dad used to color his hair and did so till he was 60. He has great skin and like me didn't look his age except for premature gray hair. With the first wrinkles though he let it go back natural. after he got cancer and had chemo his hair came back in dark again.

Hmm but surely.. if you GET grey hair it's because he meant it to be then?
I was completely gray/white by 35, (it was the many women in my life that made me that way)..
As for lazy, I dare any 40 year old to attempt to keep up with me. When I am "lazy", it is because I have earned the right. I call it "taking care of me"...

Is your sister knows and undertand that you are MAN? If not, explain to her ... men being manly do not have to change anything to attract a Woman JMO

I found my first gray hair at 17. By 30 I was salt and pepper and now at 45 it's gray. I actually prefer it that way and would never color it. Besides, I keep it cut short and to dye it would be an every week thing. I'll just be thankful it hasn't fallen out because I think I would look funnier than I already do.
