go ahead, give me the third degree
ask me if i'm happier now
it seems to really affect me
almost becomes euphoric somehow

what affects someone affects another
to pass through our skin to touch
feelings we express to every other
of happiness pay out so much

the one you tell you're happy to
can pass that feeling on
good feelings can then further accrue
degrees of wellbeing thereon

so hug another and smile your smile
and look at your life again
know that attitude passes the while
and affects both strangers and friends
