We’re estranged from each other, live on separate isles in the ocean of life, We're destined to live on our own with waters enclasping the isles. We’re drifting farther apart, by God's will we have lost our ties. The watery plain lies between,in the ocean of life we’re enisled.

About this poem:
It looks like a 50 word something, but I very much doubt it.
So much trouble and pain for a 50 word exercise, I didn't even call it a poem, I called it something. I am thrilled with what followed. Citing Matthew Arnold - just to think of it?! How clever of you!

Nice to see you back Marikia...and competing strongly.
Hi, marikia, enisled, perhaps; but, connected through Poet's Corner, in a world of boats and planes - and words that walk across water. Enjoyed your write of the watery plain.
Tithonus, I appreciate your knowledge of poetry in the first place and bringing Matthew Arnold's beautiful poem here is far from being a cause for making excuses. Just the opposite. You guessed right - I love this poet and read him constantly, practically all the time. I didn't think worthwhile mentioning his name here with regard to this mere exercise. Generally I make a point of mentioning poets who inspire me, but this time I didn't do it for the above reason. Perhaps I should have done it in my comment to the poem, but then you wouldn't have cited it here, which was a real pleasure to read once again.
