Hope, each new generation is mindful of their parents' and not only parents' aspirations and needs, well aware of the challenges of new times, taking life as it is and contributing much to good cause. Yes, they too are becoming parents one time with the same aspirations for their own progeny. Life resumes its normal course with each generation. Thank you for raising this matter in your poem.

Show me the child and I will show you the man....that statement has been confirmed so often in research....just like in social history, the pattern reappears so often, generation after generation...Though provoking write as usual ggodguy2have.... Niah
The apples don't fall far from the tree... but the flavour may be improved out there eh? I love this, I think it's something most people wish for their children...

Who was it who said "the child is father of the man?" Blake? Not sure the sentiment is what you meant here, but parents expectations of their childern is certainly a powerful thing.
or what you recognize. and categorize. and what may only be found in dreams. or dreams never dreampt. yet, here it comes, in all undue possibility, genesis....

aspirations from parents do unfold
for your life futures time to come
undo laments of parents timeworn
How true it is. The question is, don't children become parents?
nice
