Purging

Got no time for you lady
Got no space in my heart
There is too much in my history
For anything to start

I will however seek you out
Like so many before
I'd like to love you for the night
Then i'd show you the door

I cant commit to anyone
For reasons i dont know
The door to my heart is shut
An wont allow me to grow

For this an only this
I would just like to say
I seek your forgiveness
In every possible way

If i could go back in time
An change things of past
It would be to open that door
An make my friendships last

But alas in doing so
Would also change me
For its the stepping stones in life
That sets the character to be

Doors can be open and closed but for Purging to occur they must be open. We are always in a state of becoming. For its the stepping stones in life That sets the character to be - well said.

Appreciate the comments ........I have to say that the first 3 verses are set in the past an the last 3 are from now, purging my self of memories i would not let myself go .......if that makes things a little clearer i am not sure.... i really value your opinions an how people percieve what i write.
