love, whether thrown or carefully handed over, is still a beautiful gesture from one to another and common as sunrise, rare as gold

I know, I know. I have already tried to find this word in both English and French online dictionaries. It does not exist.
And, what does it mean? It is just the opposite of ‘nonchalance’.
