Mary and Me

Mary and me sat down for tea
Invited the cat and a fat flea
Knock on the door, it was a frog
Asked to join in, he'd brought some grog
Next was a dog, he came from next door
But then it got scary, next came a wild boar
Then an elephant from the zoo down the road
Driving a Ford arrived a big toad
Now you can imagine how crowded this was
Especially when a shark came flashing his jaws
I looked at Mary and she looked at me
We need to get out of here we both did agree
Then and there without much ado
We left our home which had become a zoo

About this poem:
Unless you want to be inundated by animals don't invite that blasted cat and her fat flea. We never did get the house back. At last count there was seven hundred and sixty two animals living there. We now live in a tree house.
