Stages

A tree,a leaf, a petal, green grass
Wonders of nature we can never surpass
Things that grow and things that are born
Sometimes new, old, worn or forlorn
Nature is beautiful in all of its stages
Decaying only to start life anew
Give inspiration and constant change too
Perhaps I wish that I were a willow
As I lay my head gently on my pillow
From dust to dust is a popular phrase
That's where we are headed someday
So you see my wish may come true
I think some days when I'm feeling blue
That someday I'll nourish the seed of a tree
And one day transform and tall willow I'll be
