Sitting on the shore time almost stands still A cloudless sky filled with nothing but blue A single eye looks down the heron's bill An ancient hunting style so tried and true
Great lazy gulls fly on wings so silent Minnows in shallows of tranquililty Everywhere is rest at peace not violent How does one measure such gentlility
Even in nature are moments of rest Think how mankind would do well to study Does ceaseless untiring nature bequest Counting time off from carnage so bloody
Even so, none the less, notwithstanding Sits still on a beach of understanding

About this poem:
A sonnet which describes even in nature there are lulls...to violence.
you really have a flare for the sonnets,a very natural style for you..always was impressed by your ability to create rhyming structures without loosing that natural flow..keep up the good work...elo
