Farm Animals

It is good being in foreign
Getting to visit the city
So me saw them with some somethings
That they tell the children
These are examples of farm animals

Me had a good laugh to meself
And wish me could tell them
About some farm animal me know 'bout
And some me grow up with
They were not some nice little docile things

First there was the old rooster
That used to guard the yard
We had no need of a dog
For him was more vicious than any doberman

Then there was the big black boar pig
Him shoulder them thick like battering ram
And pigs not something to play with
If you want to know why
Ask one eye Sam

Well as for the ram goat
You can smell him from half a mile
When him stand up on his two back foot
Sonny Boy found out the hard way
Because he did not run

Me never did do the donkey anything
Him just never like me
Everytime him get the chance him run me down
and try to kick or bite me
So me hit him every time me get the chance

Some people say bull cow is not the proper term
Well tell that to Joshua
Him can show you many trees
The poll head one kill
Long before it kill him father

Oh yes we raise rabbits and guinea pigs togather
For rats will eat the baby rabbits
But any rat that dare come in the pen
The guinea pigs make sure its their end
May be they were the only docile ones

About this poem:
I wanted to do this Jamaican style hence the broken language. I honestly did not think what these kids were being shown was a good representation of farm animals
