My Jamaica

There's a little island in the Caribbean Sea
It's beauty you have to see to believe
Some compare it to Eden's garden of old
Others say one day it will be the dwelling of God

The skeptics and doubters cannot resist
Asking if such a place really exist
A place of hills and valleys and cool mountain streams
Where the grass is always fresh and green

Exquisite tropical fruits all year abound
Varying crops always planted in the ground
No wild animals to scare or give fright
Or terror to fear in the dark of night

But most of all it is it's people that make it so great
A people blessed with charm beauty and grace
Always a ready smile , handshake or embrace
Out of many one people all belonging to the human race
