self improvement
jail..ah what an experience
no freedom, full of restrictions
reality is, we do encounter
the many sides of life
our journey, our walks, our stance
is a reflection of who we are
what we believe in
and what we stand for
sometimes we walk the opposite
of what the majority follows
we test ourselves, we face the challenge
only to find out we are crushed and lynched
and in the end, ask the question?
was it all worth it?
I can't answer for you
perhaps, mine is only for myself
and here it is, I have learned a lot
more than enough, as a matter of fact
from the dark chambers of isolation
asked myself so many questions
what if, life is all but an illusion
and we aren't truly who we are, what we are,
nor our belief differ from everyone?
all I know is, from that experience
life is all about learning:
knowing what you did, so you know
where you are going...
I did learn a lot..

About this poem:
Note: I was in CS jail for a week and wheww what a trip..just because I defended someone who was being lynched.
Thank God, I have never been in any of the real jails where your life depends on the mercy of the law.
Thanks all for your reads and comments (if any).

form of restriction mental, physical even worse Is inhumane...I know I'm being a little bit dramatic lol in CS jail but jail is jail........but I guess on some unusual level that time forced you to dig deep inside the thoughts that we question as humans & it made you acknowledge how we learn....and I think that's all we are really here for just to learn this earth could never be for us,,,,,so I learned from this poem and I've been away so long, that even in that long gap it was meant to teach me things that I probably wouldn't have acknowledged, otherwise blessings always
Do not pass go, do not collect $200
Happy new year my friend.
You had the courage to acknowledge it and move forward which I applaud you.
Wishing you the best for your future outcomes.
I know you feel deep about the cruelties and troubles of life and wish it wouldn't be so but that is the way it is. We live in a very imperfect world and our effort to spread good is over run by evil.
Thanks my friend.
In reality, I have never broken any law with the exceptions of many speeding violations but I know how it feels to have your freedom curtailed in this case a week of not being able to post here.
Thanks again.

The latter words is true and more so as it relates to how deal with problems when such may arise. It reflects us in either a good light or bad. Thank you for sharing Phyllis, nice to see you still here.
Maybe you should mail me?
Take care my darling friend.
