Journey's End (Acrostic)

All this time I've sought your face
Round every bend, round every corner
Praying that I'll find you soon
On that day I'll be celebrating

Too long I've searched without success
Too heavy this burden that I carry
My hopes still there, not quite lost
Someday we will be together

My dream's still there, I will not fail
Even now I'm still hopeful
Wander on throughout this world
Until the time we become as one

So if you see me on my journey
Remember that I'm on this quest
And there I'll be, til journey's end

reminds me of the song "Somewhere Out There." "I know how very far apart we are, but I hope we might both be wishing on the same bright star. Somewhere out there someone's needing a friend and I hope that we'll be together in that deep somewhere out there."daydream dance

Steve,
My first reaction to your acrostic was -->laugh
How cool, just write a poem then put the letters of the first words in a line and challenge people to write an acrostic based on those letters - simples! laugh Did you ask the challenge - setter 'Where the heck did you get a set of letters like that mate?' or was it based on a poem they'd already written?dunno

Whatever the answer - I like your poem, I hope if you haven't done so already that you find 'her' before too long. hug

(can you do an acrostic using the last letter of each line?
laugh )

Thank you Ladybee42 ... I have no idea where she got those letters from but they were a doozy to write something with ... the last letters? now you are trying to be difficult, however I just might (repeat might) try ... could be frustrated
