Eerie calmness of the surroundings evoked from within my soul picking up the pieces of what was left is like a puzzle that can't be put together or restored- it was only yesterday the world shattered in turmoil debris flying like a stealth up in the space filled with the raging musters of the Gods.
236 miles per hour wind nothing can stand on its ways devastatingly destructive no one can survive its wrath people's wails and people's cries muffled by the angry gales in time like this we can only kneel down be lowly and surrender.
Ten days later and what a sight the looks of the living dead more heartbraking than those who died you can't help but ask the question: "WHY OH LORD OUR GOD?" must these sufferings happen to us? answers unheard, i knelt down to my knees unabated tears of rivers flowing down my hopeless and weary face...
Eerie calmness evoked from within my soul Lord God of the Gods please bless us all.

About this poem:
the aftermath of the most devastating typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines is an experience never to be forgotten...how insignificant we are...and powerless compared to the power of mother nature..
...very sad in deed my friend...but the beautiful thing out of this is the pouring of random acts of kindness...and I am reminded that the world is still full of good-hearted people...and because of that there is hope...always there is hope because adversity brings out the best in man...thank you for sharing...and knowing you share the pain and brokenness I feel inside...

Oddette, My heartfelt and everflowing gratefulness for all your comments. My husband is in the army and had done so many things for the clean up in such an aftermath. I can only pray so much as the magnitude of such a catasthrope takes a herculian and astronomical power to handle it. But with our united effort it will make a great impact...
Thanks so much

While the calamity itself was so devastating heartbreaking, the distribution of the enormous aid raised by the whole world is now more frustrating because of Red Tape and the poor victims are not quite given the full benefits yet. There is a picture of the 670 people transported by C17 of the US for the victims to Manila and it is amazing because it is so historical as it is the most number of people flown by such an aircraft.
