i love to teach
i really do
but sometimes
things get blue
there are days
and in many ways
i'm not sure what to do

for children can be
right and wrong
their characters
sometimes strong
no wonder why
i sometimes sigh
as if i don't belong

this doesn't happen
all the time
and somedays
it can be fine
an the things you teach
seem to reach
all and the brilliant mind

there is to be
so much to gain
when sharing knowledge
with no pain
and eyes light up
and ears are cupped
and the pen does not refrain

so i hope one day
you understand
to teach is
not to demand
but a way to express
knowledge and nothing less
respect a common land........
