October…. The Goddess

Those golden suns and purple leaves
And shadows creeping long and lonely
From scenes of many happy dreams
In fields full of fragrant stars and asters
October like a goddess of ancient splendor
Comes riding down the mountainside
Reflecting waves of spectacular color
Dancing delightfully in her eyes

Love this one Yankee! My Fall poems are most favorite and Spring. It's the colors - I'm in love with colors - then comes Winter White of which I'm not so fond of - only at Christmas.
