Waiting for Andromeda

In 2 billion years the Milky Way
will digest the Large Magellanic Cloud
a dance of two galaxies
who had the time to wait.

I don't spend much time looking at the sky
but last night it was lit up like a canvas of light
with all the constellations just so.

In 4.5 billion years we get punched by Andromeda
its unknown how it will go apart from some
black holes that might get bigger

Earth might get shuffled around
but by then the sun will be a Red Giant
and we all get charcoalled anyway

Oceanzest, nice Astronomy writing. I think the black holes are the scariest ones. Stars here are not visible for me at times. I do have beautiful sunrises just beyond my window.
The Andromeda Galaxy is 2,480 000 light-years from earth and its diameter is approximately 200 000 light-years. This one is the closest to the milky way and is one of a few that can be seen from earth. As you stated in 4.5 billion years they will collide.
Regarding the stars this is written in the bible:
Isaiah 40:26
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.
Psalm 147:4
He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.

Not here to contradict, just sharing. Be safe my dear poet. SM
