A mournful mob Gather nearby Pehaps to chat About what? Currawongs Magpies Crows Large birds That crap fruit Upon Our cars
Someone tells me Here I should not respond to poems with poems So I rather scoff with the fixed yellow eyed glaze of a crow Haunched on a stump A lump Eyeing the dead possum With hidden delight
(psst, not my favourite bird by a long shot!)

Good posting Fargo, one of the distinctive attributes of arriving in Australia is that within 15 mins you'll hear the first crow call, waaark. We have no crows but do have rooks of the same family, and of course pesky magpies.

Crows just come from nowhere as soon as an opportunity appears.
