Hi, agoodguy2have, caroljoyce, jazzy75, and Earlgreytea, Thank you for your kind words. I am truly pleased that you enjoyed my reflection. What does it matter if a poet writes but nobody reads nor finds meaning?
Hi, caroljoyce, I didn't want to use appropriate ("take possession of") because that word would put the emphasis on the one taking; so, I chose expropriate for its "to dispossess (a person) of ownership" meaning.

Hi, Happygolucky4u and niah9, Thank you for taking the time to read my earlier post. Your comments on my poem are a welcomed find after a long day at work. I am pleased that you both liked it. On this cold winter's night, I feel the warm rays of your words.
Memories of past taking hold of present and future. They should be powerful for consuming this moment and reaching future, and expropriating it. Hope that these are the memories of joyous moments. I felt the warmth of sun rays on my skin, but no burn, when I read the poem. Thank you.
