Well what do think of that

Strong with that midwestern stoicism
Ready to take the cold knocks of life

Start a conversation, open it up
Look at the angles of love, side to side

Talking of the hard drinks of life
The harder drink of love and loss

Stave off the hard knocks, take note and
Accept faith from someone worthy

Young men tired of war are hard to
Find a way to make peace and live there

There's a cold whole world out there
And thoughts as deep as a February snow

Rhymes don't matter at the bottom of a Barrell
It's always the deeper reason of emotion

Waiting and watching for open love
In time she'll come in from the cold

And wash his memory of the one who nicked
His heart and pride, to write forlorn poetry

Still stalwartly need to press on with vigor
Task at hand ... living, waiting, living
