Question of the Ages

In a room for many days
And, yay, many years
I pondered and wondered
And sought to discover
The meaning of life.

And one epiphical day
I saw that life was in the living.
So I abandoned the room
And walked out and lived it,
It's nature utterly unchanged by my pondering.

About this poem:
Inspired by an invitation to come visit this forum. Thank you. :) I didn't see a category for half-baked philosophy, LOL, so I went with religion/spirituality.

half baked philosophy is out of the question of the ages. the closing line is the clincher, we sit and we think, and we write and we think some more, no matter, "It's nature utterly unchanged by my pondering"...put a nail through THAT question ;-)

Hi, gardenhackle,
Celebrate the epiphany! To think about life, to live it; or,perhaps, as poet, to do both. Thank you for sharing.
