its about how love feels
As Velsi is a Lady, this poem? wouldn't really be appropriate, if you follow but it's written with her in mind.
I like this poem because it reminds me of my gorgeous dog pride who had to be put to sleep on the 13th march 2013 because her cancer came back and at that time couldn't save her :( miss her so much!
New love calling...
Written 3-22-02 This one is a look at myself. I saw myself as an invisible entity living in the shadows of earth, able to come and go as I please. But also knowing I was still trying trying to find out who I was so wasn`t sure what I wanted for my future, nor understanding parts of my past.
aries we like to go where angels fear to tread
Don't think of him as gone away his journey's just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. T

Written 12-5-02 A look into animal abuse from every angle, and at the human victims left behind to grieve.
If it should be I grow frail and weak And pain prevents my peaceful sleep. Then you must do what must be done When this last battle can't be won. You will be sad, I understand. Selfishness might stay your hand. But on this day, more than the
Written 10-22-00. A friend of mine owns...well, when this was written about 10-15 horses and one really stood out in my mind. She was a blind Saddlebred mare in her 20`s and she was never with the rest of the herd, but when I was there I swear she was looking right at me and knew things about me that I didn`t even know.

Bold one month old Fast as a bolt of light Colt don't do as hes told Marches to the sound of His own hoof Hes a little aloof but the Day will come when this Colt of mine will be a Fine horse. Copyright 2011 John Yona
My first dog (Brittany)
Came across my mind an aspect of dogs that I do not understand
Written 10-23-01 Imagine being a captivity bred wolf who could neither howl, bark, or hear because of how "man" can pretend to play God and mess up genetics for fun. And this is a realistic look at how that wolf could feel... After the deed`s been done, we feel responsible. But not before...
I don't need to say anything about this poem, this poem says a lot in itself.
“off and running” their conversation that night was of plans and a schedule insightful and humorous, though all too contrite in a day or so they’d be many miles away traveling after dark and sleeping each day the unlimited funds hidden in th
I wish people would be better owners of there pets. my poor hen is still morning for her babies.
This isn`t exactly a poem, it`s an introduction to one of my role play characters in his wolf form back in the days of yahoo user rooms. Maybe someday they`ll come back along with all my fursonsas. Hope you enjoy picturing him in your mind=)
Wish I had wrote down the date I write this, but I must`ve been about 20 or 21. I was thinking about the many struggles between brother spirits over the generations. North and South, man and wolf, democrat and republican, when all the differences are left out of it, all you see is a brother, not an enemy.
I TOLD JUDY NOT TO GO IN THE CAR WITH GENE ON ACID, BUT SHE WENT...AND MY LOVER RETURNED IN PIECES
Rosa marchita...
This poem is about making the difficult decision of putting a dog down when it is so ill that it cannot walk, eat or control its bodily fluid any longer.
This poem came to me as I was riding with some friends high up in the mountains a few years ago. I'd say the poem out loud and we'd all repeat it , finding the words, making it complete. :-) It speaks of man's desire to answer what's inside. :-)
I wrote this poem when I was studying at Bethlehem University. I wrote when the war of Iraq had broken out. I felt sad for people who die everyday and found that Lions are good creatures that follow rules, don't lie and....
Haunting the grass a butterfly alights upon its rain-bent blades. Daisies bathe its tawny wings in shadow. Seconds pass. Then up and away it flies, freckling through the haze. A blackbird's voice, flute-soft, clear, accompani

If I could format it more specifically, the lines towards the end would actually get smaller in size. But otherwise, it's a good poem, with a unique perspective. Also, for a treat, count the number of captial letters in the final stanza per line.
Just remembering a time when I heard a bird singing in the middle of the night
My blood burns As I begin the hunt My prey is swift and canny Yet I have patience Softly, I pad through the grass I hear the scamper of feet My pulse quickens My prey is near I sniff the air Catching the scent Swiftly, silently I lope
I wrote this for a poetry contest back in 2014. I got an honorable mention. This was written in A,B,C style. Each line had to start with the next letter of the alphabet until you have A all the way through Z

My sister and ex-sister-in-law often say that my dog, Sweetie Pie, behaves much like a real person. They describe as being “a whole human”. She amazes us.
