Reaching out, to one who cares
Sharing leads, ends being a pair
Special emotions, based on trust
Look to the future, respect a must
Honest commitment, also as friend
Struggles daily, where it might end
No crystal ball, or guarantees
Hopes-faith-love, you wait to see
Time the substance, that can
Change the pathway, for man
Plus special respect, that holds
Confidence in another, acts bold

So he fetched her the ocean in a marble,
wrapped up in a velvet rag,
and tied with a golden braid
from the dreams of a white-headed hag...
She twiddled the glassy green sea-sphere,
its white horses frozen inside,
then she bade him:
"Release me that stallion!
Else ne'er shall I be thy sweet bride!"
Well he smiled:
"I know just how to do it!",
and he pitched the glass ball at her throne -
she was still picking shards from the cushions,
as he danced with the white-haired old crone!

About this poem:
A little fairy tale :-) It's not a limerick, but I couldn't think which style fitted...pantoum, ghazal...what on earth are those?!

'else ne'er would she be his sweet bride!
And he smiled:
"I have spied the solution!",
as he lobbed the glass orb at her throne -
she was still plucking shards from her cushion,
while he danced with the white-haired crone...

Lyrics : Author Begine Luc
WORLD OF DREAMS
Versus :
At night….When I hold your hand
As you are fast asleep
And I Close my Eyes
A world of dreams goes open
Refrein : (1)
Walking into your light
Makes my heart Shine as bright
Shine as bright
Versus :
When I hold you hand
As my guide to tomorrow land
A fontain of wishes appears
Makes every dream come true
Refrain : (2)
Walking into your light
Lights my love for you up in the night
Shine as bright
Shine as bright …. ( repeating and fading)

smell the night
draw its essence deep
for in this hour
I am this hour
taste the night
whose delights run naked
in the canyons of the vanquished
as surely we shall fall
in the fibre light tonight

How Beautiful You Are
You inspire fire within my heart’s desires
Your eyes pools of splendor creating waves of longing
Wanting to capture you within my arms and feel you
tremble with anticipation
Feeling your breast’s heart beating next to mine
Singing it’s love song so rapturously divine
Wanting to ravish you with every breath I take
Caress the softness of your very being
Touch our souls within
Have you forever mine
Never let you go
Wanting you ever so ~

Tenderness & passion

Way out in the wilds
opposite sides the continent
having fasted for some forty leaps
rounds last bend prevailing
Westerlies sluice across mountaintops
Early autumn showers
unbraiding cores trailed low the wind
Mists ramping upward thru droplets are falling
gust eddies there twirling their waltz
Alpine clime
crystals reinstated to vapor
indigo orb overhead
redrawn circumference out lengthways
ellipse devoid prior circumspect
Ethereal Ephemerals
light-speed across tomorrow
translates a simpler language
captive with all the above
fetter works loose over course
Lace up the skates more tightly this time
A snap of the fingers
thrown again into motion
right over left legging more thrust
gather momentum as at the first
west wind propel them
tightening turns on both ends

YOU’RE SMILE
How can this be a smile so captivates me
So wide and bright, I feel my heard shutter, take flight
A smile that travels so tenderly and fans a flame where none would be
It will never be wasted, totally appreciated, to know that smile is for me
It’s been that way from the start a smile so binding it held my heart
So my darling forgive when I stare, your smile is your breath, my air

Someone I met once and fell in love with her smile

Because we live half a world apart I'd never even bothered to read yours, or any similiar profiles
My belief being that it was a waste of time, pretending love could survive so many miles
And I am still unable to commit, too being anything more than just friend's
Unwilling to have faith, trust, and fidelity, left to the whims of the oceans and winds
For me the very thought of someone else holding you, would permit me little rest
And too pretend that I wouldn't think it, would in itself be cheating if put too
the test
And although I'm viewed, liked, and messaged from as far as Thailand, we won't be anything more than pen pals
I'm a firm believer that anything more is only an invitation to hurt, apology,
heartbreak, and trials.

About this poem:
This poem came to be written because of a recent profile I visited!!, amazingly I'd never thought to visit this profile although there'd been more than enough reasonable cause, I clicked on the profile and miraculously, magically, suddenly there she was!! What I'm trying to say is everything was good, photos, about, she had intelligence, beauty, humor, compassion, passion, sensitivity, what she was looking for I am, or was willing to try and become. Her music preferences even included several songs I've covered and recorded on karaoke!! And if all these similarities weren't enough she has the same birth sign as the woman I married., In short the total package for me. Did the fact that we live a half a world apart from each other have any effect on what I felt? how I reacted? what I think? definitely.
Many of us have had a similar experience, and the stress It has created for me needs an outlet and writing about
it provides that outlet.
