I JUST MET A GIRL, ON MY DAY OF WANDER;HER NAME REMINDS ME OF A MOVIE; WITH VICTOR MATURE, AND HENRY FONDA!CLEMENTINE IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL NAME!IF I DON"T GET TO KNOW HER; I"LL HAVE MYSELF TO BLAME!I COULD EASILY BORROW, MY FRIEND STEVEN"S CAR, BUT HE LIVES TOO DARN FAR!I"LL EVENTUALLY WRITE A SONG FOR HER, THAT SHE CAN CALL HER OWN!I WILL SING IT TO HER WITH PASSION; WHILE WE ARE ON THE PHONE!I INVITED HER TO BREAKFAST, AT THE LOCAL DUNKIN DOUGHNUTS; SHE SAID THATS ONE OF HER FAVORITE PLACES, TO SIT AND TALK, WHILE SHE SIPS HER COFFEE, AND I,DRINK MY TEA; AFTERWARD; WE STROLL SO MERRILY, DOWN THE STREET; AND WHEN SHE OPENS THE DOOR TO MY PLACE; SHE EXCLAIMS; WHAT A GREAT LIVING SPACE!CLEMENTINE, SEEMS QUITE DIFFERENT, SO I THINK I"LL TAKE THINGS SLOW;FOR YOU NEVER KNOW, WHERE THIS ROMANCE; WILL EVENTUALLY GO!

About this poem:
I HAVE NEVER MET AN ANGEL BY THIS NAME!

As age creeps up on me I wonder if love will come my way
The romance is there but maybe time has passed me by
Is there someone for me and will my love look beyond the wrinkles, gray hair and unpleasant changes as seniors age or shall I just be thankful for what I have each day
I am dreamer of dreams and always live in that world, is there another dreamer out there for me
Life without love seems so lonely at times and without purpose I long for those feelings of passion again
Someday soon I hope to love again and to have that sparkle in my eyes as I look for that special lady, my soul mate, friend and love. Will love come to me like a warm breeze on my face on a summer day or will it be fate that I will love again.

if love visited me tonight,
would i be the same?
if love touched you tonight,
would you remember his name?
if love visited us tonight...
would we dance beneath the sheets,
or return to the safety of our restless shame?
duplicity and reckless steps are sometimes the symptoms
of passion, but never the cause.
passionate glances, soft touches,
long kisses and dark dreams...
relevant modus operandi.
the nectar saturates my tongue...
canvasses my loins ~
and pierces my heart.
what if love touched us tonight?
would we both be the same?

If there were days enough...
I would learn the Dance,
to dance with you.
The flood light becomes the sunrise...
as we ascend to the heavens like Icarus,
only to fall to the earth again...
and again.
This is my dream...
to awake to anothers dream
to another time...
when you knew my face,
and I knew yours...
and our dance was not for one...
but two.

My world is not real
For if it were ~ how could I exist
I am an anomaly in a dark hole
of one of God’s creations called earth
A phantom figure hidden in one’s mind’s mist
Who searches for that special girl to kiss
The one put here on earth to share our eternal bliss
To feel my lips upon her upturned face
A surging feeling to have her in my fond embrace
To experience and know of love’s fantasia’s taste
To feel her gentle creation in my arms
To enjoy her many copious succulent charms
Be still my heart, heed not loves warning alarms
Oh! If she could only care
Hear this message flying through heaven’s air
The answering silence is more then one man should have to bare
To search the sea of the tomorrow’s called life
To ride it’s waves of continuous rolling strife
Of life’s uncertainty, do you believe there’s afterlife
Before I go, come into my arms once more
Tis a dream I know, but please don’t go!
Turn your upturned face to me
and kiss me gently before we disappear

It was a long time ago when we first met,
I was young and maybe a little silly too,
you was slightly older and boy did I want to connect,
years have passed and chance has given us a new view,
So here I am a lot more mature,
you still have that look and style,
I know what am looking for thats for sure,
looking at you certainly gives me that smile,
Words and messages we now pass on daily basis too,
you vaguely remember who I am,
I for sure could never forget you,
no longer the boy but now am a man,
Time and distance has kept us apart,
memories of you in my mind did linger,
its a new year lets try and make a start,
I can serenade you am a bit of a singer,
I will be sincere and true for you,
you just be who you really are,
together we might just find something true,
between us the distance is no longer that far,
Something in the stars has decided this fate,
coming soon nearer to see me,
I look forward to this our first date,
we will take it slowly and see how things be.

About this poem:
Sometimes we come across those with whom we worked with and it has been a while but then it just happens you get that call, message or look and it happens a connection.
This poem is for my nephew who is now going through this phase and his thoughts prompted me to put down his anxious and yet desired feelings.

on the day of the party, I went to an art show
held on the grounds of the courthouse square
my eyes were captured by a young girl displaying
her talent of painting (I loved her blonde hair)
here was a beauty in the sunshine of April
and me still quite groggy from eves play before
suffice it to say, all caution had left me
we arranged for later to meet at my door
now, remember, we had two separate apartments
the women in one, and the gents, in the other
but when nightfall approached, you'd find us to scramble
with bedding for all and with lover with lover
before party's guests e'er were to arrive
fair maiden artist appeared at my door
through threshold in beauty she crossed, til
we found ourselves in my room on the floor
once she was there, I had planned to leave
go to my neighborhood, be with friends I'd unfurl
but by that time the place started filling up
with all manner of strangers (mostly girls!)
it sure didn't help that the alcohol
and other potency substances grown
would cause our delay (could not get away)
of the revellers celebrating a new home
but I sure as heck wanted out of there
before the arrival of my girlfriend, Joan
came a knock at the door, must be her I was sure
I moaned and on top that I groaned
with door chain in place, I turned the handle
so as I could give myself a peek
the door was kicked in, I was flat on my back
dizzying motion made me go weak
loaded revolvers were stuck in my face
room was awhirl with police, don't resist
amazingly time had frozen in place
as they screamed hands up, cease, and desist
they had warrants naming space Bob and crazy Red
for sales of narcotics well known
as I lay on the floor, came a knock on the door
the cops welcomed in Betty and Joan
lo and behold
the two girls were told
there were warrants here of their own
so they hauled us all away to jail
we were being processed in one big room
guys on one side, girls on the other
I felt the pressure of impending doom
as luck would have it, and mine was bad
and right now it was about to get worse
for in clear view of Joanie's sharp eyes
another shock was about to take course
my teen artist angel walked across the room
and tenderly wrapped her arms around me
she said "don't worry babe, it'll be all right,
everything will be okay, you'll see"
her touch felt great but all that I saw
were the daggers in Joanie's eyes
as they pierced deep into my psyche
useless for me to feign disguise
I suppose that I must accept, that there was no one else to blame
charged with "maintaining a disorderly house"
because the apartment utilities had been put in my name
for a long time after, I felt like a louse
oh, here's a little endnote
yet another surprise not seen
my sweet painter artist angel
was the ripe age of...14

There is a freedom inside her
It breathes restlessness
Always searching to and fro,
A field of wildflower
Sun upon my face
A sky written full of twinkling stars
Where I roam,
Destination unknown
Secrets of vast lovers
Her heart knows
For not one
Does she hold
Timelessness. Is her life for she keeps not time
Or journeys
A mystery to self
And any who know her...

That simple –
I am not me,
But a million minds
In one,
A drop
In the ocean
Of Love
A tear
On the portrait
Of Madonna
Snowflake
Melted
On eyelid
The wet sand
After the tide
The frozen lake
The well in desert
Falls of desire...
Rain on Earth
I am a breath of new life
H2O
In the Universe
Life I am and the Death
Before the
Rebirth.

What if I said I don't care
About each imperfection
I see a different woman
Than you see in your reflection
I see a kind and gentle soul
When I look into her eyes
I see true emotions
Every time she cries
I see a woman
Who wants nothing more
Than to be with a man
She can love and adore
And to have that man
Love her the same
Not for just one night
Not for some game
She wants a love
That will last forever
One that will survive
Through every endeavor
That's what I see
When I look at you
So tell me now
Is that all true
Stop keeping it all in
It's okay to cry
My arms are here for you
Just give them a try
Please let me show you
I can give you what you need
You no longer have to beg
You no longer have to plead
The desires you harbor
I have them as well
It's okay to reveal to me
The things you could never tell
Let me put back together
What was taken apart
Give me all the pieces
Of your broken heart
If you give me a chance
You will soon see
Just how true love
Is meant to be
It's meant to make you grateful
That you're still living
It's the love you want to receive
It's the love you want to be giving
It's the kind that heals
And never harms
It's the protection you feel
When your in my arms
It's the love you feel
Every time we kiss
It's the greatest gift
And the ultimate bliss
I want to hold you
I want to kiss you
I want to love you
I want... You

This was written for those who know the true meaning of love, those who use their hands for holding instead of hitting and those whose loyalty is so great that there is no substitute for their significant other.
