The Quotes Garden - XXVI – To my beloved

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XXVI ]

To my beloved

“For what is time?
A sword
With cruel, sharpen edges;
I’m here, a frozen moment,
Who’s soothing its beloved;
For her, I often come and sing
Until she hears my broken chord
And shatters all her wedges;

But tears?!
I have no more,
To bind and tie them in this loment;
They dried long ago, just to record
My neverending sorrow as bestowment –
And all, - but all of them, a tune, to sing
The silent death of my beloved;
Enough with all the pledges!

- For what is heart,
Without a sigh
To rise her incense in a lisper?!
What cures the very troubled mind,
When such a fate, it breaks apart,
To fill the world within a whisper,
And there is nowhere else, to find
The bitter grave of its beloved?..”

Feast or famine

In times of feast or famine love needs to be examined
In days when love fills us beyond measure we account of its treasure
In moments of emptiness and despair we sometimes just don't care for the pain is a bit much to bear

We can go for a considerable long season without and meet love with doubt as we question intention along with pretty little pouts

As we rejoice in fantasy and passion of stolen moments
there comes a time we consider the mix of love and its unique components

Yet, often do we blindly fall into a lair of pretty faces so fair, we cannot always discern who plays the game better when we have to fold with only a pair

Oh the cliche we heard a thousand times what a tangled web we weave but, first we practice to deceive.

It's hard to find a love we can truly believe only we must give it a chance to join in the dance

Love comes in many shapes and disguises even with a few surprises

In times of feast indulge with care for as easily love comes it can leave just the same with despair

In times of famine we must
re-examine what is true to our ways and either rebuild or create something new to fill our days

Horse jokes

A guy is walking through the country when he spots a sign that reads, “Talking Horse for Sale.” Intrigued, he walks up to the stable to check it out.

“So what have you done with your life?” he asks the horse.

“I’ve led a full life,” the horse answers miraculously. “I was born in The Andes where I herded for an entire village. Years later, I joined the mounted police force in New York and helped keep the city clean. And now, I spend my days giving free rides to underprivileged kids here in the country.”

The guy is flabbergasted. He asks the horse’s owner, “Why on earth would you want to get rid of such an incredible animal?”

The owner says, “Because he’s a liar! He never did any of that!”

A horse walks into a bar. The bartender says, “Hey.”

The horse says, “Buddy—you read my mind!”

Wrapped from the cold

Wrapped from the cold
echoes in the streetscape
I stride beside you
for its assurance I need
despite the fortitude
these doorways all locked
and old bones
can't take much
anymore
but you smile
indifferent to my plight
and for that I salute you
Where did our days go?
majesty of youth
no fear in the cycle
of universal grinding
all you said was
breathe as I do
feel the hustle
for then the dark delivers
love in the margins

The Quotes Garden - XXIV – Silence

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XXIV ]

Silence

“Silence.
Frozen drops
In a sleep,
Pearly chain, - relief,
From a snuggle;
So soothing, to me…

Silence.
I may flee
Wherever it
Takes me –
Eager to see
There, over the shore,
Nearby,
A grain of sand, –
To just lay my head
Into this cradle;
Yet, there is no sound;
No rhythm.
Just a white, deep
Reap
Of these crops –

Silence.
O, set me free
Wherever it
Pleases Thee,
Sinking deeper
Into the sea –
For that is the core
Where there is more!

Nearby,
A grain of sand; –
Under this beam,
How did I land?!

Silence.
It cures me.
There is no grief.
No pain. No struggle.
But only a deep,
Never ending dream
In which all stops.”

The insane

I take back from the mind of the insane I walk away ashamed I come to test the validity of the rest of life is this such a hike to the unknown I creep an moan to fall on sacred knives to let them see it was not part of my insanity it was just a killer twice come let’s go I take everything into the unknown I walk freely through open deserts I come clearly unto you unto you. I seek to find a place we’re there is no crime no blasphemy no evil that is to see I glance ahead in time today I’ve found my rhyme I’ve committed a crime for them to see let it be the end of my insanity. Will it come upon me open flesh wounds open problems to astonish no it was your promise that I’ll never die I fall back without a doubt I shout mortal tears are upon me I search through all this insanity mamed no caged a mind that wants to be free I am insanity I open all doors to each realm I sit still I wear my crown I don’t step back because I am not here. I am not here. I will go on through this misconception that I rule I don’t. It’s nature that is gods wish not that humans suffice. That humans acknowledge that they are responsible for the pit fall in evolution.

The Quotes Garden - XXIII – Cipher

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XXIII ]

Cipher

“A, B, C –
Take this key
On a spree,
Little bee!...

Let her be!
Set it free!
Like the sea
Sings to me –

On my knee,
Loving Thee,
Counting three,
I am free; -

Turn to me,
Bumble bee!
Drink some tea,
From this tree!.. –

Leaves, with glee,
Crave for me; -
Pity me!
Raging sea –

Pray, to see
What such plea
Bring in thee: –
Love, to me!

Wee, wee, wee!..
Just be free,
Bumble bee!”

A Time To Weep Away

I’m right here where you left me
A sinking heart full of holes
Who can go on like this forever
Floods rise in a swollen river

How much will life rise then fall
A brief delirious moment in time
When life was only a top chart song
And forever never lasted that long

I must look outside of my own fear
Beyond where my eyes can see
The future lying down the road
So much now the pace has slowed

Your loss is deeper than a black hole
Where nothing can hope to escape
What can bring back such pleasure
Fulfilling life with abundant measure

So now please I just want to weep
For what was lost and go to sleep
Only after this deepest sorrow
Will I believe again in tomorrow

Pardon me for sharing my greatest pain
Washing away the sorrow in my soul
For truly when the flood of tears do fall
When life feels like we have lost it all

When at last this peace will come
Life does rise again from within
I will remember you one sunny day
A rainbow above the darkened grey

New Ornament

When I first moved out I spent 80 dollars on my Christmas tree
Tree was 30
Lights were about 20
Ornaments, star and garland about 30
That was 1996
I have added different ornaments since then
I try to add one new one each year
Snoopy, Simpsons, Southpark, Bugs Bunny, hockey puck
That last few years I have added National Lampoon's Christmas
This is the first time I have spent over 100 dollars on three ornaments
It has Clark, his wife Ellen, and his two kids, Audrey and Rusty
You connect them together with a special power cord
When you press one, then they act out scenes from the movie
Each one lights up as they talk to each other
The whole thing revolves around scenes related to getting the Christmas tree
It takes about three minutes
I can't wait to put it on my tree this weekend
