THE WORLD

Slowly encroaching
Upon your personal space,
Shadows enfold you
Obscuring your pretty face
From the light
That gives life
To the world.

The world
I once knew
That was built around you
begins to slip away;
Black and white
fades to gray.

The dreams
Of grandiose plans
For our lives we would have had
Now are all shattered;
the sad thing is
They no longer matter.

Endlessly wondering,
My heartbeat is racing
Silently waiting here
And frantically pacing
By your bedside
With tears in my eyes
For the world.

The world
I once knew
That was built around you
begins to slip away;
Black and white
fades to gray.

The dreams
Of grandiose plans
For our lives we would have had
Now are all shattered;
the sad thing is
They no longer matter.

I ask myself,
"Why didn't he stop to think
Before he ordered another round
And had one last drink?"

You were coming home
After working vary late
And expressed how much

The next thing I heard
On the phone
Was him hitting the car
After losing control.

Now, here I am
Holding your hand and seeing your face
While hearing the machines
Trying to make you stay
Here by my side;
Both living our blessed lives
In the World.

The hours pass by
Without even a wink of sleep.
My ears intently
Focused on every beep.
It starts to slow down
And I wear a frown
As I realize
That this is good-bye
To the world.

The world
I once knew
That was built around you
begins to slip away;
Black and white
fades to gray.

The dreams
Of grandiose plans
For our lives we would have had
Now are all shattered;
the sad thing is
They no longer matter.

The voices in my head
Tell me to foresake all
That I love
And methodically murder
That drunkard
In cold blood.

Just then,
There you are again;
Images clearly siered
In my brain.
your smile
That I miss so much
Reminds me of just why
I ever fell in love.

I hesitantly let go
Of your lifeless hand
And struggle with all
Of my might to stand.
I leave the room amidst the gloom
Heading down the hall.
I ask to enter
With an even temper
To see if he survived at all.

He stares up at me
With a silent plea
As I look down and smile.
"Just pray for your sake
That your heart shall not ache
As mine will for a while.
What you did was foolish enough
And it has cost me my dearest love;
However, I am glad that you live
So that I may forgive
You for what has been done.
My hope is
That you shall learn from this
And tell the events of this day
To the ones who still stray;
Saving many more lives
Than the one who has died
And left the world."

The idea hit me one day to write a song about a husband, his wife, and the aftermath of a car accident. This is the end result.

The Pecan Tree

The Pecan Tree

In a tiny town in Texas, a soldier and his wife
Sat beneath a tree of pecans, talked about their future life.
What the tree heard touched her deeply, deeply down inside her heart,
Learning soon this young couple would sadly have to part.

She drove him to the airport and watched his plane fly away.
Then she wept beneath the pecan on this endless autumn day.
His letters from the battlefield she read beneath the tree.
When the fruit is on the ground again he'll be coming back to me.

She waited by the window in a long white flannel gown,
Watched the dancing snowflakes gently fall upon the ground.
The tree outside the window cold wind bending her naked boughs
Both were waiting for the springtime and new life to arouse.

She waited in the garden, planting tiny seeds.
The robin and the sparrow sang to fill her empty need.
The tree in chartreuse budlings listened to the song.
She wanted this to swiftly pass, the tree this time prolong.

She waited in the summertime turning golden from the sun,
Thinking of her certain someone and things together they had done.
The tree in emerald splendor nursed its scion
As it's jaded foliage cast long shadows in the sun.

She waited in the evening beneath the harvest moon,
Her happy knowing he'd surely be home soon.
The tree bent low in heavy fruit ready soon to fall
Sighed, anticipating when again it would stand tall.

She waited softly humming. Then there came the tragic news
Of a firefight near the ocean, her lover's life did lose.
In the garden, almost midnight twinkling stars shone above,
The tree wept her pecans with the maiden's lament love.

Despair gripped the garden. It was a maddening sight to see.
In the moonlight, teardrops glistening she chopped down the pecan tree.
When they found her in the morning upon the tree she lay her head.
The tree and the maiden, still and cold in crimson red.

To you..

Lay by my waterfall,It washes my pain
take my stained clothes and hide,
the kind will not suffer..
to duely cherish,we sub-scribe.

You never witnessed my Battles
shallow thoughts of the blind they be...
But I held my sword for your name
As you took my life, and set me free..!

So lay now,At the waters edge
and watch as tad-poles swim,
Never to forget this moment..
Life for love.love within...!

My heart Beats

Melodies,my heart sings
Blowing my chest up and down
Perfoming songs,looking for its throber
That will emerge one day
Like a king before the queen he will stand

Dup,dap,dip my heart bangs
Roaring like a trapped lion
Dang,dang dang,it beats
Filled with love and passion

Searching is its daily bread
Like a willing hunter it hunts
Hoping to find its partner one day
Someone to make it flow like river Okavango

For thee and thine.

I dare not touch thee under the hollow spire...... my body is but dust in your earthly home,.......... and sunset set in nightime haze to fire.,......... That we bellow in the sunken swamps alone................... To crytal moonlights glades we search the mire,.............. within the moors were fog do sleep,....................... In the deep forests where light do creep,.......... to darken time which i do weep,......... I dare but tred slow,in this dune upon this sacred time,........ wherest bell rings to distant sound,............................ and begggars feast on cheese and wine, and thee are thee, and thine is thine....!

Victory Sunrise

The grey began to fade,
as the colours filled the sky.
The chill began to warm,
as the sun began to rise.

A lost soul found direction,
as the eastern orb rose high.
The dark sky turned to blue,
as I thought all night of you.

Dark turned to light,
grey turned to blue,
lost became found,
that's when I met you.

About this poem:
For Vicky..
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

The Choice

When I chose to love you
I chose to be a part.
No longer a stray piece
But one half of a heart.

I took unto my care
The responsibility
To never freely choose
To hurt unnecessarily.

I chose to open my soul
And to tear down the walls.
To listen with my heart
Until I heard your heart's call.

I chose to place my trust
In the love you chose to give.
And I no longer give a thought
To where I end and you begin.

About this poem:
I wrote this poem because someone I dearly loved told me that he couldn't be responsible for how I felt when he walked away from me after telling me he loved me, and married another woman.

follow me

follow me

Good luck has never been my friend
I've always been the fool
Please don't follow shadows of mine
'Cause the time is running out for me

I walk in the path of a misfit's blood
No compass can steer my way
No light at the end of the tunnel
The time is running out for me

No gold at the end of the rainbow
No high hopes, dreams deceive

Follow me
Trouble seems to always wanna
Follow me
It has let me down so far so why don't you
Follow me
Trouble seems to always wanna
Follow me
It has let me down so far so why don't you
Follow me

I walk in the path of a misfit's blood

thoughts arise in my sinking dreamland tonight

Thoughts arise in my sinking dreamland tonight
Gazing at nothing is all that’s is sight
Till a glow appears and turns to white
My body starts to tremble with excite
A harvest of ambitions and emotion arise
Simply looking in your eyes
I make my way towards this light
Not knowing what’s in sight
But my body starts trembling with delight
A harvest of butterflies fly high
With nothing to give but only a fight
To keep from never losing this light
This beauty never have I seen
This emotion and erg to see the light
Gazing at you is all that’s in sight
Till your glow appears and turns to white
A harvest of ambitions and turns to excite
Simply looking into your eyes
I make my way towards your light
With nothing to give but only a fight
To keep from never loosing this light
This beauty never have I seen but only in my wildest dreams
Thoughts arise in my sinking dreamland tonight
And you are the light that is my delight
Who I would fight for who I would fight for tonight
In this dreamland of delight .
