BEWARE AWARE THREE TIMES

WHAT FINALLY BROUGHT A BOY JOY

There stands thee with a secret in your locket
and a man’s phone number in your pocket
You’re too pretty for descriptive and alliterative ‘English phrases
And I wonder , do you go through men like phases?

One day he’s in fashion the next day a fad
And you don’t suffer well men who make you mad
Part of you I’d worship, the other half teach
As you had a goal for years you simply had to reach

And quite honestly I admire that as quite a great deal
Always knowing how to touch then learning how to feel
Because somewhere in the center of an adolescent was desire
But how to tell mom and dad , because it’s not like her to be a liar

So she awaited for the time to be precisely right
And when all the obstacles were no longer in sight
The lady began jumping hurdles and vaulting them all
And so many men in line begging her to call

I can’t imagine the heart rendering kind of pain
While I would watch as the moon would wax and wane
The lovely as a young boy wishing he could wear Barbra’s dress
And then someone might ask if he wants to confess

Yes, you’ll confess, you’ll admit you beat them all
After all, they weren’t the ones so many men yearned to call
So now sit’s a gorgeous woman and a lady refined
But at age ten what must have been going through a young BOY’S mind ?

About this poem:
because i learn restraint, dignity and pride from her. When she walks down the street holding my hand i compare her to other women and i'm telling you, i never asked for her doctor's name, BUT MY HAT'S OFF TO HIH! AND "YES," SHE SAYS "EVERYTHING WORKS."

IF SHE'D SHUT UP U'D UNSTAND AMBER'S RUN

SO HERE'S THE CORRECT VERSION WHICH
EXPLAIN'S "AMBERS RUN"

THE THREE OF US WERE GOING TO SEE TENNESSEE
JUST MY WIFE, OUR SIX YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AMBER AND ME
FOR A MOMENT WE STOPPED IN A CONVENIENCE STORE
AND AFTER THAT I DON'T REMEMBER VERY MUCH MORE

I RECALL A MAN IN SHREDDED CLOTHING AND A SHABBY HAT WHO LOOKED LONELY AND LOST
AND THAT GIVING HIM A RIDE WOULD COME AT TOO HIGH A COST

WE THREE HAD LEFT ALONE BUT NOW THERE WERE FOUR
AND THE STRANGER BECAME ENRAGED AND ME EVEN MORE
THEN SUDDENLY THE SKY OPENED UP AND THUS RAIN BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN THE TRUCK
WHILST TWO ADULTS KNEW WE WOULD ONLY SURVIVE WITH THE LORD'S LUCK

WE FOUND OURSELVES IN THE CENTER OF A WILDERNESS AND AN UNCERTAIN GAMBLE
AS WE MADE OUR WAY THROUGH BRUSH, BRIAR AND BRAMBLE
THE MOMENT I HAD THE CHANCE I YELLED AS LOUDLY AS I COULD " RUN AMBER RUN"
AFTER THAT SLICE OF A SECOND IN SPACE AND TIME GOD'S WILL WAS BEING DONE

IF HE WOULD ONLY TELL US WHERE AND HOW FAR SHE'D GET FOR SOMEONE SO YOUNG
YET MY WIFE AND I HELD ON IN THE HOPES TO WHICH WE CLUNG

THEN INSTANTLY I SAW A CHANCE AND THAT'S WHEN MY LEGS QUICKLY SPUN
BUT UNFORTUNATELY FOR US THE STRANGER WIELDED A GUN
UNBKNOWNST TO US THE MAN SPENT THE DAY DRINKING RUM AND FELL ASLEEP
HE LOOKED SEMI-CONSCIOUS OR IN A SLUMBER OIL WELL TYPE DEEP

THEREFORE SINCE I'M ABLE TO WRITE THIS YOU KNOW MY WIFE AND I GOT AWAY
AND I CAN'T TAKE HEARING THE NAME "AMBER" TO THIS DAY
NOW ONE YEAR LATER FOR US TWO THERE IS ONLY ANGER AND HURT
BECAUSE WE WERE THE FIRST COUPLE TO ISSUE AN "AMBER ALLERT"

Entangled..

Its was torment, raging in sweet soul
beyond my vision, overflowing juice i swill.
pulsating in my viens remains
ripping at my heart, pulling all life strings..passion i bare no more, ache in saddness, loved and scorned

overpowered all my lust as if not born.
and dropped I here to Die,.
wrapped in you, silk sheets to mourn
and not a tear inside your eye.!
Flaming my soul now be,strong it bare no name, just a bitter sweet
taste on a Dew-drop mourn..!

to someone special

I thought that you would like to know
That someone’s thoughts go where you go
That someone never can forget
The hours we spent since first we met
that life is richer and sweeter by far
For such a sweetheart as you are

I Love you.

You are like life, full of ups and downs. We had our fights, often, times i take wrong. You come and go, i not being with you. How can i know, if you're, the one true? Things you have done, many times hurt me. Yet there is none, that can replace thee. Though i have tried, love i can't control. You made me cry, yes, my heart and soul! The sight of you, somehow possesses me. And your broad smile, makes me a-wonna-be. I felt like a fool, at times, out-of- place. While this isn't cool, love is no disgrace. This here,"my feelings", found it's way through. After all your doings, still, i love you!

The Ballad of Wal Mart John

On a timeless golf course worked Wal-Mart John,
Cajun, crazy, confused,and middle aged,
his niceness overlapped his psychotic self,
happy with life the course was his stage.

Wal Mart was the biggest running joke,
but he did not care at all,
I wonder if his genes are dominant or recessive,
no clue, but I promise you he was not tall.

He brightened my day and made us all laugh,
and members liked having him around.
Until conversation was attempted,
His thought process is profound.

Johnny laughed loudly at all jokes,
actually, at anything you said.
I dont know what he was smoking,
Something is terribly wrong in his head.

snow ball fights, throughing snow
children slidding from hill tops to valleys below

fun there having in the deep deep snow
frosty fingers, frosty toes all having fun in the snow
cars abandond slidding in the snow ,they have no place to go
cattle abandond in fields hiding under trees, waiting for

Rhythm Of Time

There's an inner thing in every man,
Do you know this thing my friend?
> It has withstood the blows of a million years,
And will do so to the end.

It was born when time did not exist,
And it grew up out of life,
It cut down evil's strangling vines,
Like a slashing searing knife.

It lit fires when fires were not,
And burnt the mind of man,
Tempering leandened hearts to steel,
From the time that time began.

It wept by the waters of Babylon,
And when all men were a loss,
It screeched in writhing agony,
And it hung bleeding from the Cross.

It died in Rome by lion and sword,
And in defiant cruel array,
When the deathly word was 'Spartacus'
Along the Appian Way.

It marched with Wat the Tyler's poor,
And frightened lord and king,
And it was emblazoned in their deathly stare,
As e'er a living thing.

It smiled in holy innocence,
Before conquistadors of old,
So meek and tame and unaware,
Of the deathly power of gold.

It burst forth through pitiful Paris streets,
And stormed the old Bastille,
And marched upon the serpent's head,
And crushed it 'neath its heel.

It died in blood on Buffalo Plains,
And starved by moons of rain,
Its heart was buried at Wounded Knee,
But it will come to rise again.

It screamed aloud by Kerry lakes,
As it was knelt upon the ground,
And it died in great defiance,
As they coldly shot it down.

It is found in every light of hope,
It knows no bounds nor space
It has risen in red and black and white,
It is there in every race.

It lies in the hearts of heroes dead,
It screams in tyrants' eyes,
It has reached the peak of mountains high,
It comes searing 'cross the skies.

It lights the dark of this prison cell,
It thunders forth its might,
It is 'the undauntable thought', my friend,
The thought that says 'I'm right!'

Robin Hood Meets Mr Spock

Robin Hood fighting with his men
Robin Hood riding through the glen
When people are scared and in need
He listens tentavely to their plead
He ventures forth helping everyone
In his own way he is having fun
Sherwood Forest green and blue
Little John where are you?
I steal from the rich and give to the poor
Trying to be logical and not too obscure
Bow and Arrows all over the place
My who is this distinguised face
Beam Me down Scotty I am here
Sounds like normalicy all is clear
However everything happens for a reason
Numerous challenges present for the season
Shocking the enemy is near
Fear not Spock is Here
Similar to that robot on lost in space
Completing assignments dutifully without a trace
Danger Danger that does not compute
I am Spock the truth I pursuit
Logical song Peter Frampton and friends
Supertramp there also making amends
I love Sherwood Forest Fancy and Free
For that is the place I would like to be
Missing Tarzan and Jane however near by
Spotting the Sherrif I must quickly fly
Cheery Optimistic men and woman are here with me
Laughter tears joys and sorrow sharing and commaradary
Point you arrow and you may find
Loving faces beautiful and kind
Enjoy the atmosphere today and tomorrow
for life is sweet and parting of sorrow
The trip to Sherwood Forest is fun for all
Come join us and you will have a ball

My Life As Two Dogs

How I do wish to God
That I was two Dogs
Then we'd play together all day,
We'd run through the bog
A' chasing Green frogs
And rise the odd pheasant or hare.

We'd lie down together
To doze in the heather
To the hum of the bumblbees
We'd swim in the lake
Then have a good shake
And nibble away at our fleas.

The birds in the air
They'd not give a care
For the larks of two Dogs in a bog,
The fish in the streams
Could go on with their dreams
While myself and my mate had a snog.

And as the sun sets
With our panting breath
We'd run down the old boreen
Then we'd scratch and we'd paw
At the old master's door
And be fed 'til our bellies were pleased.

While we'd lie by the fire
We'd be truly admired
As our coats would shimmer and shine,
And on top of a dresser
Among some old treasures
An old cat might stretch out and whine.

To the tick and the tock
Of a Grandfathers clock
We'd be snoozing by half past ten
And early next morning
Without anyone scorning
We could do it all over again.

About this poem:
Last summer, while out with my Dogs, I watched them play in the bog. It was such an entertaining sight to see them frolicking among the heather and wild flora, without a care in the world. So this "song" came to me like a bolt from the blue!
I ran home as fast as I could. Well you don't allways have a pen and paper handy.....Do You?
