In this day in age when a large percentage of us are single for one reason or another and have no person to regularly converse with,are you finding that you are missing the mental stimulation that is part of a regular ongoing

I spend way too much time on here because I do not have a large social network. It is a chance for discussion and banter of all kinds. CS for me is addictive and even though my mental stimulation is till in tact,
I miss how much I used to read. I have a large library of books I've never read and I think that is a serious waste of mental stimulation. To choose a computer keyboard over a good book IMO, a serious waste of time. Before I came back to CS I read a book a week and I don't mean a book of 100 pages. Now I'm here everyday, sometimes all day 
My books are within arms reach but I reach for the keyboard...

You would have to be in complete isolation to have no-one to converse with surely!
I've been on my own now for 11 years,have great family,friends and neighbours,so in my world there is always someone to have a chat to,even joe bloggs in the street.
As for the internet I use it it doesn't control my life. I enjoy the stimulation of the games section and the banter,but as others have commented the threads are not what they used to be by a long chalk.
