Solamente: How many have you come across....
Two blokes in about 3/4 years of communicating via the internet.
Although if someone's lying about their age and didn't 'fess up, it would take getting your hands on their passport, or birth certificate to find out, wouldn't it? Usually folk are more interested in getting their hands on things besides legal documentation.
Btw Sol, if you think I'm super-perving your profile, for some reason until someone comments on a thread, I can't access it through my homepage. I just get a blue notification that there's no such thread. I have to go through a search and click on people's forum list on their profile.
I don't get why people would lie about their age. If you say you're 10 years younger than you are, people are going to think you look damned old for it.
I don't have a clue. I know two persons in real life and I don't think they lied about their age, I did not ask for their ID. But besides being a lie, I find it a pointless one too...

Yeah, I agree its pointless, but if I were 99 I'd say I was 98 coz I am sure that it would make me feel better...
Oh, well... when I was a teenager, when I was 16 yrs old and 2 months, I would have said 17. Now, although I'm almost 35, I'll say 34 till the day I turn 35. But that's different from the idea of the topic, I guess.
Merriweather: None... I have not met anyone who has chosen to lie about age.. everyone I have met is / were exactly as their profile stated
I have come across several women that admitted to being early 50's but dropped a few years on their profile as they thought it made them more desirable.

Hi ah Sol, well that's just plain silly isn't it..
I mean, we all have the knowledge gained from our years, and although I hate being 60 , almost 61... it's the thought that I hate because when I was a lot younger, I used to think that anyone remotely near 60 was past it... and now..
here I am... looking at the other side of the coin..
but never mind... life keeps trotting along, and in a way, I wouldn't swap my learned knowledge for youth...

I might perhaps for looks tho... ( I am laughing at meself. )
It's OK hon. I've written to CS and asked them to include a geriatric room.
I have to confess, I lie about my age. I'm really 89. It's just that I wanna be a cougar and seduce all of the youngins....those delectable boys in their 80s.

Thats funny... Kaybee,
Just hope that you haven't started someone off on their cougar ideas... Oh Jeez, couldn't stand that again... not so soonish after the last bout... it was like a bout of cougar flu... came in without warning and died without a trace...

Solamente, some men have slipped up on the forums and have declared themselves to be over 50 in conversations when their age on their profile was something like... 47. This has happened at least twice. I've met one woman who lied about her age. She was far younger than she said she was.

alright , I'll admit I did lie about my age .I;m really not 39 I'm actually 42 . So are you happy now. . . .
Met 2 guys of here who where older than stated on their profile. One confessed, the other one didn't and probably could have been my father agewise.
I don't see the point, you usually just see that they lie about their age, and a) if someone lies about their age, whatelse would they lie about? so no interest and b) I have an age prefernce on my profile, do they really think I would start dating someone who could be my father agewise?
i've had a couple men lie about their age on their profile to be older so they could get past my profile age restrictions. but i look at it like..if they don't respect what i stated in my profile, why would i think they would respect me in real life? i've no desire to be a Kougar... (but they did tell me in the first email).
i've also e-met a couple men who have lied on their profiles and let me know they are older than posted. again, in initial contact. makes no sense to me...
if you want to meet someone, might as well start off honest, eh? honesty is way more important to me than age...
