Leo_7: I love animals and always feel like they r not very different than humans. We are all the product of same nature ?So always wondering if they have souls as we humans do? If u think they do,then does it apply to all living creatures?or u think most or all of them are just programmed machines?
I m asking this question cos theres no scientific answer to it.its about how u feel and believe.
If you have the good fortune of having and knowing any animal you will realize that the each have their own personalities and therefore they have a soul. They are true with their feelings which is more than can be said for most humans. We could learn from them if we don't look down on their existence.
I don’t even believe people have “souls.” In my personal opinion, the aspect that is considered the soul is the conjunction of the brain, central and peripheral nervous systems. These systems create a perceived sense of awareness in the form of memories, thoughts, senses by way of neurological/chemical constructs.

don't know about a soul, but ihave goats, and one mother lost her young one,and I couldn't find it for a couple of days, and she cried for ages all thru the nite, and had one that wa s a mate to a sheep, and the sheep died, and the goat sat on its grave ,still does every so often,so they may not hav a soul, but they sure as hell have strong feelings for their partners and young ones, and would put humans to shame

if person uses logic and reason and undertakes a careful meditation on the subject of emptiness and tries to find self, on conclusion self is unfindable. Our nature is energy. Main difference between humans and other sentient beings (beings that have mind and fear death) is an enhanced ability to reason and not much else.
The whole universe, every aspect of exists in interdependence with other elements not just from ownside. Its complete nonsense to propose humans can't take animal rebirth, utter nonsense.
To my mind the word soul does not in any meaningful way describe our true nature, energy or subtle winds far better describes that which is without beginning and without end never lone what its nature is.
Oregongold: Animals give Unconditional love.. As for humans it is a safe bet that the majority of humans don't. Yes they do have a soul, not like politicians.. ;)
Those who claim that we don't have souls are saying that all thought is just the result of inevitable physical and chemical interactions. Thus we really have no free will or individual choice at all. Our every thought and action is inescapably pre-determined by the laws of physics.
