Okay before anyone gets the idea that I am going to go patriotic here I just want to know because before I came to visit Europe I was under the conception that everyone wants to live in America.
This seems to be propagated by the media and politicians who tell us it sucks everywhere else. I love my home and I am loyal to my country and I wonder if people feel the same about their home country.
As screwed up as the US is in some ways its my home and I love it and am anxious to be back home. I think everyone should visit other countries if for no other reason than to better appreciate their own.
I have visited the USA twice, one visit was an official one ( from work ) second was a tourist journey. I really enjoyed both visits. .... but.... I would never live in the USA, maybe I would stay there temporarly if I had to, but for me Europe is the most amazing continent from all points of view. I love the place I come from and I love the fact, wonders are just round the corner.

magiclove65: well,it is a nice change for communist countries , to gain visa for USA,
Slovakians does not need any visa to the USA for last 8 years, just ESTA and biometric passports
... and Cloud, I am second geeneration, I do not remember communism and feel nothing when you provoke with this stupidity as well, do not run the mock with smoking
kidatheart: I realise you're an idiot, but please, do tell me where he bashed the US in his remarks? Or are you just trying even harder to be an a**hole?
I read things such as, " I love my home and I am loyal to my country" and, " its my home and I love it and am anxious to be back home" from the OP, about the US.
As for the question, no, I wouldn't want to live in the US, never have. I have travelled there extensively, and like visiting, met loads of nice people across the entire country, but I prefer Canada.
I would however consider moving to a few places in Europe, or maybe even Australia, or perhaps South America.
Thank you... This visit abroad has been a learning experience for me I have been to B.C and it was cool but for me the best place on earth to live is in Indiana I guess my long hair just cant cover up my red neck lol
The twice i have been to America,i was made to feel welcome.I enjoyed my stay. However,i prefer my adopted country of Spain, with all its faults, and would never consider returning to my original country, the UK. I admire your loyalty to your country.

Stay in Canada. You wouldn't fit in here for sure unless you learn at least learn to read before typing the crud you type.
NO, not really, though there is a lot of people that come here every day. But the same is true in other countries. When I was in Ireland I met a lot of people from many Countries. I bet that Australia and New Zealand are also popular places for people that can get there more easy than the USA or other countries. I think that that has a lot to do with it, what is available and where is there an opportunity. But as I said somewhere... I have over time asked some women in the past and they did not want to come here to live. Just the way it is, not always what we think it is. ;-}
Checkers101: Sir I am not bashing the US I love my home and country. I am not very pleased about the current administration but the structure of the U.S. Government is the best there is when it is followed to the letter of the constitution.
To criticize government when it goes astray is part of being an American and a patriotic citizen. Which I am. Take that fundamental right away and we are not America anymore
I have noticed that a lot of Obama supporters seem to take the stand that if you dont like Obama you dont like America or you are a bigot.
That is not the case, and when we get past all the fear mongering and back to the business of business and economic growth America will be America again. The question to you is how can asking a question be bashing?
Your threads and posts speak for themselves. You have been obsessed with bashing the USA in the CS "international" forums.
It depends what area of USA.i wouldnt want live in the place where many illegals, drug dealers, criminals and people with shotguns .But USA is a huge country.and probably got many nice and safe places.I d love to visit and stay for short term.but i wouldnt want spend rest of my life in there.

I have lived in US, twice (+15 years), and it is a great country, but i don't want to live there anymore. Unfortunately it has changed to, what i call, the "awesome" mentality: way too sensitive, careless consumerism, too many stupid laws (corporations win all the time, not small businesses), etc, etc...money seems to be the only way of solving problems.
But although it is far from perfect, I am really glad I was able to live in America. I loved the open mindedness and diversity of cultures, the business mentality and the incredible sites... and the people..but not for "living"... Europe has a better quality of life: more balanced.

It might seem then that America (as you knew it) has been cancelled ... one might argue that that much is apparent even solely on the basis of whistleblowers being branded traitors and interred for excessive periods without a trial.
But hey, look I'm only a detached disinterested outsider without any axe to grind or agenda to promote, what would I know?

Hundred years ago all people wanted to go to USA. Things aren't like that anymore.
Most people don't want to leave their countries. People get a long pretty well in other countries too. Shouldn't you be old enough to know this?
