Had a quick look at your profile. Where are you going to find a woman who is 7ft11in tall whose name is Veronica? And 59 years old? You are 30. Your profile suggests you are so desperate you would be happy with any one as long as she is breathing. I suspect most women are repelled by the smell of desperation. You are well educated, you should be able to earn a good income and attract a good woman. There are plenty of other free sites too.
MADDOG69: NO, mate. You keep changing your address all the time. Canada, Jerusalem, not long ago and now back to India. You're just another green card hunter.

Lets be honest here. You have practically zero chance of finding a partner on here. At one time the site was busier, but was infested with fake profiles and people conducting phishing scams.
Look at the forums now.....there desperate, and now hardly any of the membership use the forums. I'll tell you why,as well. If you look at the threads they are boring, and mostly bored individuals use the threads just to argue, about anything.
It's entirely the websites fault, because of their poor moderation policy, lots of amusing people were kicked off the site, while blatant trouble makers were allowed to stay.
Find someone in the real world, because all you will get from this site if phishing emails. Have a happy new year, in the real world!

Hmmmm! Very interesting take on this C.S. forum Robbie. If like you say all of the interesting people were kicked off and just some well connected trouble makers were allowed to remain. Well that says it all.
I have found that nasty women are almost NEVER reprimanded on any dating site or forum but guys get booted off for doing next to nothing.
People also seem to be way too spread out on this forum to ever get to successfully hook up with anyone.

I've only been here since 2010 and all I've seen are the same boring topics.Or I've seen where someone starts a religious or political thread and fights start.I sometimes don't even bother signing in unless I see a thread which really and truly interests me.
Go back and edit your profile. Do not ramble in broken sentences and paragraphs. For example, say, "I am looking for a long term, genuinely romantic relationship". Do not say 'hippy-ish'. Say, "A down-to-earth lifestyle of rustic simplicity is best for me", (or similar.) People are attracted to people who have a firm sense of who they are and where they are going. This can represent itself somewhat in your profile. Also, I noticed that your salary requirement of a mate is perhaps a little unrealistic, given the world economy. It also begs the question of whether or not you are really "hippy-ish", as you say. Do not look for wealth or status. This is often a turn-off, and narrows the selection to shallow candidates. Of course it is OK to want someone who is accomplished, but do not try to qualify this with a dollar amount. Mother Theresa was enormously successful, and virtually penniless. Take note.
Something to think about. I know a man who lives 80 percent of the time in Thailand. He receives a soldier's pension of about 30,000. dollars a year. (U.S.$). The town, village, whatever, is about 12,000 people. He is their bigshot, lives like a billionaire there on what would now be a relatively modest salary in America.

sometimes I think about finding someone on the internet but I think it's always better to find someone in your daily life. Try both of ways :). And don't be sad because I think u'll find her soon :D! My aunt has just got married at the age of 35 :P. So dont be desperate :) Just enjoy your life and maybe some events that out of your expectation will come :D!
