Turkishdelight4: Really enough already! I look at a profile of a man then find that in their mind I do not make the cut off age. When they are up to a decade older. What is it guys? Do we not age as well as you? Seen some pictures and I beg to differ.

1) The fortunate man makes it to 50 before hitting The Wall and the fortunate woman makes it to 40.
2) Because looks matter less to a woman he can outflank The Wall for perhaps another 10 years using his charisma, confidence, funny bones etc until such time that he looks so old and dessicated that it doesn't matter how funny and charming he is.

Ha.. happened to me right here in the building. Some 70 year old goat asked me out in the elevator. I didn't want to be rude and laughed it off. Since then, I avoid that elevator and take the long way to the mailbox (He volunteered his age, that's how I know).

This is usually the opposite for me....most of the men who ask me out or want to chat are younger than me, often times much younger than me. I've only had a few men my age, or close to my age, ask me out.
Guess it all depends on who we each attract?????

I just think it's sad that there are people like that, even more so that boggles the mind, is writing a post like that while searching for a potential partner in life. That is the second one in as many days if memory serves me correctly.

Same here. Thinking back to my 20s, a guy over 3 years older or younger was "yukk". I don't think that has changed in the last 20 or 30 years. Back in those days, the rule of thumb was to take a guy 6 years older and I told my mother that that was never going to happen... and it never did

I had a mail from a lady last week. She was 48 and looking for a man from the age of 18 to 50. That's 30years younger and only 2years older !!! I've seen lots of ladies on here looking for guys younger than their kids. What are they looking for, only brings one thing to mind when I see that, and it's not long term.. It's no wonder they get lots of mail from young guys!!!
I would say for me it's 5/6 years both ways and that's it, if you're looking for a relationship

Uh oh......I'm 51 and I have my age range from 40-58.
Hmmmmm.........guess I should change that from 45-58, eh?
