Global warming was my choice. At the rate that's happening, all of the others will become a moot point. No humans, then no war, resource depletion, disease, or overpopulation...or any other problems we've caused.
I once heard Deepak Chopra say, "If all of the insects disappeared off of the face of the Earth, then all other life would cease to exist. But if all of the humans disappeared from the face of the Earth, all other life would thrive." I found that to be an interesting observation, but very true. As he pointed out, we are the singularly most destructive form of life on this planet...and we're going to destroy ourselves.

The asteroid that will hit us in 2012....
Disease. We find new diseases everyday. And the treatments for the old ones are not working anymore. Stronger more resistant strands of disease and viruses are emerging.
I think I read somewhere a harsh flu virus in the early 20th century killed millions of people world wide. And it was disease that eventually killed the dinosaurs.
United states is in action against terrorist in afghanistan and iraq, israel is killing the innocent palistini peoples, india is fighting in kashmir, pakistan ,india, srilanka and few african countires are on the top of the terorist's list so i think these are the basic and important issues for the world

You're talking about the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic.
Very interesting stuff! Follow the link to cytokine storms at the end of the first paragraph to learn why mostly young healthy people with strong immune systems suffered the most.
I personally think the asteroid theory of dinosaur extinction has stronger evidence. OH and T-Rex was a scavenger not a predator from anatomical evidence I've seen presented. He was just too slow to run down prey.

Good find...that is what I read..the Spanish Flu pandemic.
I would have to agree with this. Ignorance and a lot of dishonesty from our governments. Most of those problems mentioned in the poll cannot be addressed until we get to their root cause(s)
