jashcd: so u dont want to become millionaire
lol Well that would be great because it would give me choices and freedom.
I'd still want the same things as I do now though.. As it is now I should have the things I want within the next year which is to buy a small house with a piece of land for horses.
If I became a millionaire today it would just mean that I wouldn't have to wait lol
I'd still do the things I want to do like grow veggies, make wine and chutneys and jams etc etc and just basically live a simple life
So I guess for me.....money doen't mean flash cars and designer stuff it just means freedom and choices

Well said Captain, someone asked me once would you rather be a rich writer or a popular one? I said rich would be okay. The less friends I have the less money I will probably spend.

There's lots of good and bad points about having too much money i know a few millionaires and they are just like you and me, look at alot of people that have had big money and have got sweet F.A now Mike Tyson,Elvis and Michael Jackson to name a few where has having money got them? When you've got money people always wanna steal or take it from you there is a lot of stress involved. My mum died in 2004 my mums husband who wasn't my dad then met a woman who won £7.9M on the lottery she was driving around in a 10yo micra and she sold her house and my mums sold his house our inheritence and they have moved into a council bungalow WTF?

There was a study carried out last year by Manchester University looking at salary and general all round contentment. They came to the conclusion that at that time, a salary of £25,000 pa was the optimum amount. Less than that created problems, but surprisingly much more than that created problems of a different kind. Not only that, but the very high earners seemed to be less content than the more modest earners.
