If it means something/anything to anyone (religion) then it has all right to be here.

yes...people canstate their religious beliefs in their profiles, then discuss them at length with an interested party. Religion is to emotional a subject to have as a thread! I believe a dating site is for dating. A Christian dating site is for Christian dating. An evangelical site is for witnessing!

But that is just as I see it!!

Why remove it?

If people don't like it, they are not obligated to go in the religious category and read the posts there.

Why do people always forget that they have control over what they do and do not see on their own computers?

In response to: Religion is to emotional a subject to have as a thread!

So is date rapes, child mollesting, Being American has been a cause of a lot of arguements, and so on.. There will always be something to bicker about..... so are all of these topics and others that someone dont like going to be restricted?
pretty soon there wont be any threads because people dont this or that.

Having a religious thread is so religion can be discussed there,, no one is forcing it down your throat, dont like it,, pass it by.
But, remove that catagory and the religious people will post anywhere and everywhere.
is it not better to keep the catagory so you dont have to look in?

I mean seriously.... do you read every single thread on here? do you reply to every single thread?

Then why hunt down the religious threads just to fight ?
no one is sitting there forcing yout hand to scroll down to their thread, or forcing your fingers to click on it!

Sorry, Myself...I do not want others telling me what topics I can or cant discuss.

I had to look twice when i saw who posted
this thread, MF, you do suprise me.

Looking at the response these threads get,
why should the category be removed?
Personally i have no interest in religion, but
for some strange reason i do have an interest
in the religious threads.
Sometimes i even join in.

Well I'm not religious (at all).. and I have no problems with those threads.

I think as heated as they may get sometimes.. discussions on any subject are good.. they keep the mind moving. imo.

You know, the forum is for getting to know fellow members.

And for some folks, religion is an important part of their life.

I know it is something that could be asked in private, but it also seems to be a popular topic of discussion.

Just because the discussions burst into a firefight sometimes, that's no reason to discourage the discussions. grin

I voted no and I'm one of the non-believers here.

If categories are removed how can we learn about our fellow members and discover who may or may not be a potential partner?....if that's why you are here of course.

There are probably more people who dislike the 'above you' threads or 'word association' where does it end? Should we just be left with flirty, dirty categories? I hope not!

I'll be voting for the last option. I generally stay out of those types of threads, along with the politics type ones, too. Reason being is... I feel that life is waaaaay too short to sit & argue over a difference of opinions. I'd rather agree to disagree, personally. But, in those threads (as mentioned above), I've observed that for many people, it's difficult to agree to disagree - cause they think their opinion, feeling, belief, knowledge, etc. is the only and / or right way...

roll eyes

I'll pass on all that unnecessary drama, thanks...
