venusenvy: The funny part is it was bigger than him...I dont know how long it took him but it left a trail of raggedy roast beef behind him...It was probably half the size by the time it got it under the sofa...Determined or what
I have to say, cats are funny.
You just wouldn't tolerate that kind of behaviour from a dog, but cats just don't tolerate certain behaviours from you.
To be fair, you know where you stand with both of them.
love all animals but you take a cat and dog put them both in middle of nowherre .....itll be the cat that makes it out alive as long as dog dont eat cat
LOL Funny Dog Song] Hey John , last time I wrote was when you were in Hawaii and the tnsunami had it. I told you my dog died, bled out in two days and then he suffocated. Vet said it was internal cancer. I don't know if you are in Clevelad, and if you or anyone sees a cocker spaniel in need of a home, could you let me know? Pet finders are no help. You have to apply first before you see the dog and they make house visits to see if it is a good place for the dog. Cherished Cockers do the same, They do not even do that for a newborn baby going home. So anywhere in Northeast,Ohio male cocker spaniel, no puppy, I would appreciate. it.
Hope everything is well with you and yours, John. Much politics and news crcling around: unbelievable. To stop all the reporting and questioning and thinking Osama's death was uunfair, the news should be playing the tapes of 9/11 over and over again, 7/24 to refresh eveyone's memory. Wadda' ya think?
cynicalorange: I hate cats with a passion. I just don't see the point in them. They only want to know you at feeding time and think it's cool to bring in a dead thing. Bring something useful at least, but no. It's a sodding sparrow or mouse.
Much prefer dogs. At least they serve a purpose better than being fur dispensers.
my blue point always brought back the things he hunted for me "live"...even small rabbits..they were apparently bred from choclate point siamese for there smarts attitudeand loyalty and possesivness and himalayans if "they" choose "you" to be there human....(if they dont like or trust you there gone) for small game hunting cas they retrive.ova 1000 yrs ago and there bringing u things to show there appreciation for u and to hopfully bring a smile to thier humans face ....so yeah youll feed them or give them attention petting playing with them .an dont ever think aa cat wont put the run on a dog or attack a human if threatened and hav been known to sav humans warning of house fires ect
venusenvy: In my younger days I used to work and live down the street from an Irish pub, they always had a sunday roast beef brunch. Well one day, I notice my tomcat dragging something under the sofa...It took me a couple of minutes to figure out that he had stolen the roast beef from the brunch and dragged it all the way home!!! O man!! For two three days you couldnt get near him under the sofa he would turn into a growling wild cat if you tried...It took him that long to devour the roast beast!! When I went to work they were all carrying on about how someone had stolen the roast beef from the brunch!!!I never told them!!
probly figured screw ya you aint gona share yours ill get my own lol

hollyberries: Maybe she put it on your sandwich for a divorce. My neighbor's wife wanted a divorce. He gave it to her ,but would not move out, some excuse. Then she always watched QVC and boughtt things on his Visa card. qvc items were coming daily while he as at work. He then got his bill adding $2,000. So he got off of cable and she moved out then!!
ran into that at 1 point 30 plus dwn 2 three now ,yes they will conspire within thier hieracrchy and overload you cas usually vets wont spay them if nursing or preg
These were my cats, Tiger and Simba (sister and brother).
I had them from birth (because I had their mother back in Texas) and took them with me when I moved to Holland in 1995. It's been 2 years since Simba passed and a 1.5 years since Tiger passed.

My first dog was profoundly deaf for many of his later years, (I didn't realise quite how profoundly until my second dog died and there was no one around to tell him what was going on ).
We communicated entirely by facial expression and body language. He eventually became blind as well and I so missed him returning my smiles (people often thought he was snarling, but his smile was a silent show of teeth ). He would then walk round with the side of his head stuck to my leg for security and comfort.
Months after he died, I was still moving around the house like he was still there, mindful of not treading on him because he was always under my feet. I caught myself many a time standing in weird positions, looking like a right eejit with my imaginary baggy, saggy, lovable old dog.
With dogs, they tend to live according to size…in other words, the larger the dog, the sooner they die.
Cats are a little different. They are very smart, but they die from diseases whereas a dog dies from old age. The life spans are about the same.
When I was in my adolescence, I had a cat named Rosaline…female. She lived for many years because she had street smarts. Before she would cross the road, Rosaline would look both ways for traffic.
BOTH , I have had fish, frogs, snails, birds, this zoo is closing if you got to feed it ,than nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo still have 2 cats that are on thin ice, loved them all at one time
During the filming of the Munchkin scene for the Wizard of Oz, the dog Toto was accidentally stepped on and she suffered a broken leg. Production of the film stopped for 2 months.

They are missed.
Simba reminds me of my Tustão(RIP). Maybe they´re up there hanging out together.

John don't be putting down my favorite actress of all times:Shirley Temple She was supposed to play Dorothy. Back then studios traded stars to others, so Shirley was traded with Marlena Dietrich for Clark Cable and someone else. Then Marlena died ,the trade was off , so Shirley lost her chance. Judy Garland was 16 or right around there. Theychose Garland, but they bound her breasts and dressed her as a chid and she became Dorothy. During the war Shirley started movies at the age of 3. She single hadedly saved Warner Brother fromm going bankcrupt. She was soon a childhood star. If you went to the movies, they would show some scenes from the war and try to or ask you to buy War Bonds. During that time shemade34 movies In jut a few years, so that is why I do not like the wizard of OZ!! my grandaughter agrees. She hates the flying monkies.

i dont have any pets, but as a family we had both a cat and always dogs..im not much of a pet person, we cudnt even decide on the cats name, so we just called it cat! but i would like a snake..to eat all these damn rats
Ccincy: I wouldn't give up my 4 legged lil man up for the world.
I told my b/f I'd get rid of first.I said it in a joking way of course.
I feel the same way, Ccincy. Men do not like women with a dog who is so close to you. Jealosy? I always told people my dog was my man, jokingly, they are much better than some men, they give unconditional love.If you read my post, I just lost my dog in two days, he had cncer. They do not act out when they are sick. So take good care of your little one and vet regularly, but I know you probably do.
