RE: When a lover becomes a brother

I've always said that, but then I'm attracted most to men that I really, really like. If they don't have the potential to be lifelong friends, any relationship fizzles out almost immediately!

Thanks Ish - not confirmed yet, things may have jsut changed. Watch this space laugh

weather report

Z I never look at the news. Sunshine still pouring in my window but I do know the kingdom of Fife is abruptly cut off from the rest of us, with BOTH bridges closed, one by damage, one by high winds. Tis a bracing climate. roll eyes

Min, I'm on my way so you can't make me jealous. tongue but that pic is gorgeous. sigh

I am probably zooming to Malaga next weekend on a cig-buying trip to stock up for the winter - on my own so about to start sending some private messages about meeting up for lunches or drinks or something, hope luckier than my last trip to Spain on that front!

Cocheta, I'm not a morning person, I just stood there blinking and getting rained on laugh

Your ad slogan took me back! Wow. Braaivleis, rugby, sunny skies and Chevrolet is the way I remember it, and now I have the jingle stuck in my head. Dankie, skat rolling on the floor laughing

Pedal, 5 am, go back to BED. I suppose you're off on a fun ride roll eyes

Carpe diem - seize the day

Ok, first off, sorry for sounding glum, I didn't realize I was. I thought I was being philosophical. I'm not a morning person ...

DC, shoe therapy, especially red shoe therapy!! YES!

Molly, right now nature is lost in impenetrable darkness and has been since 4 pm. I think there are stars, though. Will pop out and check when I'm not pinned down by borrowed (and extremely WARM) laptop. cool

PAC, every word is true but right now, right NOW, I am seizing the moment and it is great. I'll go back to sensible tomorrow? hug

Calleis - fabulous weekend being had. You too peace

RE: Keep your animals warm this winter

Now that would keep my windscreen clear of ice. Here, cow, nice cow ...

It's a reciprocal thing in my house. Dog pressed up against me on one side of the bed, cat on the other, both grumbling when I try to turn over and the chances of coaxing in any human company dramatically reduced as a result. Oh well. Could be worse. Could be a cow. wow

RE: Mailbox

So basically, if I got the question right, you've exchanged a few mails and suddenly she's not answering?

Speaking for myself, and I've been here something over a year, I may have liked something in the initial approach but his spelling and grammar fell off dramatically with every message. TOTAL switch-off for me. Or he gets inordinately keen and wants to skype or get my phone number and the interest just isn't there. I've learned, and presumably most females here have learned, that there is no point saying 'ok no longer interested in this conversation but I wish you well' because that brings more messages, and they can be abusive or unpleasant. Just not replying makes it clear there is no more interest. If the guy then persists, I block. dunno

I have no idea how many approaches guys get, although my guy on CS says it isn't a lot. Women, even women of my age and with not very pretty photographs, get 2 to 3 new messages a day on average. There must be a rush on for Christmas or New Year at the moment because I had 5 today, even though I have quite stringent blocks in place!

Most of them say they love my profile. They don't seem to have read it very carefully, since it says I am in a relationship and not looking laugh

RE: If only Women were Men.

Couldn't resist. I hate myself. rolling on the floor laughing

RE: If only Women were Men.

Now Sol you say you want to hang out with a bloke, go to the pub, watch TV together, enjoy each other's company - and then you say no poofs?

Make up your mind. rolling on the floor laughing

(Ticks off on fingers - batted an eyelid, raised an eyebrow, asked a question, made an innuendo) grin

RE: If only Women were Men.

Ah well I have regular bloke friends where we are regular friends.

RE: If only Women were Men.

I'd post the Henry Higgins rant on 'why can't a woman be more like a man' but I did that fairly recently. This must be a common blog complaint. roll eyes

RE: If only Women were Men.

Can't speak for your friend but I do have a man friend who ASKS for advice rolling on the floor laughing

Fair do's, I ask his advice too. And sometimes we even follow each other's advice. Not very often though. laugh

RE: When young sow wild oats. When older, grow sage.
