Hmm, best episode? Probably a David Tennant one, even though Eccleston was my first Doctor (had never watched it before) and nobody beats your first, but with only one season, he just doesn't have the number of episodes to compete.
Actually, I DO know the best one. David Tennant and Catherine Tate in Runaway Bride. It got a little manic at the end but there were moments of pure genius.
Yup, Luke, at least there's no bad feelings, I thought the refs were good, the yellow cards were fair, the mistakes about even. Although there was a point in the first half where I wondered if we would win just on penalties ...
Coulda done with a little less rain, mind. Ironically, if Scotland had played their final game in that kind of weather, different outcome, I think! We know rain, here. All too well.
I shall stop moping now and think up a bright breezy cheerful blog which has nothing to do with the hopes of a nation. Well. Just now.
And I AM sorry Habana didn't get a shot at the record. He deserved it. Worked for it. Hell, even took a 10 minute rest in the middle to gear up for it.
I watch at least one game of rugby at least once every four years. I like it to be between the two best teams in the world.
Thick ears plus long lobes? I never heard that one before! Mind you my father lived to 89 and yup, thinking back, he did.
I'm a little worried by your list since I don't want to get old. No more exercise for me, perhaps, although I do enjoy having a bounce in my step. Hmm. Decisions decisions ...
Molly I'm probably prejudiced but little beats a crime thriller for pure escapism, hehe. Enjoy ...
Eks, I appreciate the convenience of my kindle but yikes, those small screens .. can you adjust the text size at least for when crashed out after a long long day working on your fab adventure?
Cake, will look out for A Suitable Boy. (Hey, that's why I'm here, as it happens ...) my reading has really been slipping lately, because I am so often reading dutifully I sometimes really need to escape into something that just takes over and carries me along
I like my beliefs. I would never kill anyone for them, and anyone who expected me to die for them would probably kill me on any other slim excuse anyway.
I do get tired of believer-bashing. Believing there is something more than random chaos works for some people, not for others, and extremists for or against are terminally dull.
Hey, Willow that's great! There's a while to go, but I realized last night that I'm going to need new readers and it is surprisingly helpful to keep potential readers in mind when it comes to that editing editing editing stage - well, you must have the same.
I personally found second time round completely different. First time I was looking for a nice suitable man with ambition and drive who would also make a good dad for our kiddies, to play happy families with.
Second time it is all about interesting, rather than suitable, people.
Sola, how drab is your life that you think it was more fun first time round? I had every intention of coaxing you to share some of your devilish stories from before you, you know, became a changed man. Huh.
Nah, my book wouldn't singe your fingers or steam up your specs. Make you shift around in your chair, perhaps...
Snookums and CC, it isn't a detailed feedback, and actually I usually write whodunits so that's where I find beta readers invaluable, my regulars either say 'huh I knew who the murderer was from the first chapter' (yikes. More red herrings!) or didn't notice a vital clue hidden so carefully that it was actually invisible.
My regular readers happen to nearly all be happily married with at least 20 years since they were last single and would be slightly shocked, I think. Or assume every experience was my own and then be very shocked.
Just got a friendly message from Texas. If that was a result of this blog, sorry dude, I'm in the other Scotland. The one hours and hours and hours away.
Hmm, the exclusivity thing didn't really bug me. I wanted all my free time for writing so it suited me to feel I had a link back to the real world rather than spending ALL my time with my imaginary friends
I did know he had a pretty shady past and didn't care what he got up to as long as they weren't important.
Talk about writing, that's the whole evening spent on this blog instead! But it's been fun. Thanks ladies just sorry not a single man appeared.
Not even one an hour or two away, with a promising line in chat
Cake, that's almost the definition of an LDR bloke, sometimes. Nice from far but far from nice. Or at least far from suitable!
Fun, though, and enjoying yourself, that can be rare. Being sensible can be dull. I'm glad you - and I - had the day and nothing worse than a slightly dented ego at the end of it.
Min, I really don't like having people in my space for more than a few days.
He reimbursed my flights and of course put me up, but there was the kennels and cattery and long-stay airport parking ... not free holidays, but affordable, and fun. I just like being on holiday. I'm much more relaxed!
Gonna get me a spaceship. That's the answer. Take the animals with me, no need for a car ...
Well, it's as likely to happen as meeting a nice non-dodgy fun man who is happy in an LDR!
Old joke about the guy who said 'If I marry 2 women, that's bigamy?' He thought about it, then asked brightly 'if I marry more than 2, that's VERY big a me?'
