Better late than never. When I was actually at school I was always in trouble - apparently I looked cheeky even when I thought I was looking serious and respectful.
Sometimes you can only safely feel love when someone has died because in their life they still have the power to disrupt your emotions. Only with their death can you relax and remember the good times with love and regret.
I know every time I have been in love (not often) if he had died while we were still in love, I would have loved him to the day I died, no-one ever taking his place. Yet when we break up, back comes my bounce!

I have a phone. An android (yes don't all shout at once) with a 4.5" screen and it can apparently do anything except make coffee for me in the mornings. I will upgrade when that app is available.

Yes and no. First impression is based on looks but also on the way one looks: a beautiful woman scowling and dragging her steps will get overlooked where a plain woman radiating interest in life, with a spring in her step, draws people.
I'm not goodlooking, but I know when I'm up, I can pull pretty much anyone I set my sights on. When I'm down, guidedogs cross the street to stop their owners bumping into me!!

I'm old enough to date back to the whole Beta (better) and VHS debacle of the 70s? and disgruntled parents having to throw out Beta videos in the end.
But I guess software being software, that won't be an issue here and even if one type murders the other it will all be transferable bar the actual handheld device. Which is obsolete the day after you buy it, anyway. Right?
buy a used iphone of not too old model an iphone 5 s if you cen get one CHRCH the seller has the receipt, as stolen phones get closed completely off! young folks want the latest usually, a newer model is best because apple Slow the older models down somehow, updates become less frequent forcing users to but a newer one!!
