On the dating front, I personally prefer hair to the shaved scalp, every time. Don't like a shaved head in winter especially, it just looks wrong.

I like my hair shoulder-length, long enough to fan out over a pillow, not so long it takes hours to dry. I've had it waist-length but I had more patience in those days. At this length I can put it up out of the way when I need to look grown-up, too.

The current wannabe Mr Biff has hair slightly longer, slightly thicker, and definitely wavier than mine. He thinks he looks like a Botticelli angel. Whatever!
