As I've mentioned prior I am coming off a 11 month marriage to a malignant narcissist. It' s been the most horrific experience of my life. I will try to be brief, but I can write a book now. I met her on an International dating site (not CS). Traveled Europe for a couple of months, came back to the US and married. Two and one half months into it I knew what I was up against. So, for the last 15 months I read, read, read everything I could get my hands on. I even watched every movie that was about narcissism to see if I can better spot it. Mommie Dearest with Joan Crawford was the most interesting. A narcissist tries to steal your identity, they bring to a relationship everything bad you can dream of and more, They are pathological liars. manipulators, promiscuous, self serving Gods. They believe no one is better then them at anything, they are never ever wrong, and will fight you to the death to make you understand that. Let me say, I am a very empathetic and compassionate man, that's what attracted her to me. The narc lives off of 'narcissistic supply' and that is 24/7 attention attention attention. When a narcissistic injury happened, like yesterday, the narcissist will re-balance themselves take a break and then return for more supply. They are vampires and have no empathy or emotional value. It is like talking to a door, but they are very very good at masking their emotions, they will show some sorts of empathy because it is a learned condition, it's not due to having real feelings. Ken was very observant when he said she's not real. Here is a video that I posted yesterday, it's only 24 minutes long, but will give you the knowledge one needs to understand this personality disorder. I have no anger at all towards my ex to be, I pray for her soul every night, I do have lesson learned. We still email even though this support group I belong to says 'NO CONTACT', but she's in Europe so I don't see the harm. I send her stuff to read, but a narcissist will never ever read about narcissism. The woman in the video in my opinion hits the nail on the head, she's good.

Hi LJ, she had no pain whatsoever. They don't feel pain like you or I. Watch the video I put into Ken's comment to give you an idea of what we were dealing with. 'Masters of Disguise' they all are until their mask is taken down, but you are correct she will return when the need for narcissist supply becomes at a heightened level again.....
nam, I'll reiterate what pieceacake said, a lonely person doesn't treat people in a vicious destructive manner as that person did.......think about it..
can't agree with you Nam, a narcissist has no remorse for anything they say, 'They are a God' in their eyes. They are blinded to others feelings, it was so obvious. Seriously, try looking at all the people she tried to embarrass and humiliate.......I know it's hard to see it, but the victims are the real issue here.....
Hi Johnny, excellent observation, hopefully will see it in our lifetime. The only negative is a loss of many oil related jobs....but good for the many not so much the few...
Pieceacake, nice to meet you. It's difficult for people to understand they're being undermined, no one wants to be taken as the fool. Knowledge is power, that's why I posted some good links so people can start to see what's out there in the real world...but like words from a Moody Blues song....None so blind as to those who won't see.....
