Crazy, what a terrible experience for you. Not only the attack but the inertia of your neighbours. That's shocking. I hope you continue to have good support from family and friends.
Hello Cat, when the mud slinging started, Molly was on her own. On the other side, several gleefully adopted the slur against Molly and continued to perpetuate it. Even an American blogger couldn’t resist the temptation to add to their fun.
These are all diversionary tactics to try and move attention away from the main issue (Donald Trump does this all the time). If your position is indefensible, then you may want to bring up past injustices (real or imagined) and also call in your loyal troops as character witnesses. It wasn’t surprising.
Where Jenny is concerned, I suspect she believed she was honouring her friend’s wishes only to later realize that she’d been caught between two master manipulators. I don’t think Jenny is devious unlike the other two.
My opinion on the whole episode hasn’t changed. While there have been some revelations, there were no surprises.
Like you, I've distanced myself with no regrets. The revelations were interesting indeed, but not really a surprise. There always will be behind-the-scenes activity which often comes out in blogs as innuendo. While I don't agree with the method, I understand that it takes a thief to catch a thief.
It doesn't matter if we disagree. I was voicing my thoughts. Indeed this episode was very revealing, but there were no real surprises. There are always double standards. No reason why it should be any different here!
No, the means does not justify the end. To infer that Nam died and to include his son to lend credence to the inference was wrong and mean spirited. As is the continued back slapping and gloating. I'm not a friend nor a fan of Nam's. Pettiness and vindictiveness are not traits I admire or respect. However, I don't carry I'll feelings towards him or anyone else here. Anyone who read that blog was shocked including me. Zman posted on that blog and his post conveyed his shock that his friend had died. I wonder what he thinks now? We know how unforgiving he is.
You are indeed a gifted writer. While I can't say that I have a fondness for the subjects of your blog, I certainly enjoyed reading it!
I can also substantiate Molly's claim about the September Spiders. You could put a saddle on them! They're massive and they have the gall to try and stare people down.
As children, we would have been throttled if our parents heard us curse. Today, we've become somewhat desensitized to it because so many people can't speak a sentence without using the "f" word several times. They don't realize how simplistic, boring and unintelligent they sound.
Having said that, I grew up in a bilingual environment (French Canadian and English). The French curse words were always in reference to the Roman Catholic church: tabernac (tabernacle); hostee (pronounced us-tee; Communion host) - a few examples. My father used to say "Sacre patates" (holy potatoes). If I feel the need to curse today, I always curse in French. Far more effective and less traumatizing for those around me.
For a moment, I thought you were talking about me, Fay! in early May, we went hiking and just started out on the trail when we saw a mama grizzly with three cubs in the distance. We slowly backed away and then ran full on back to our vehicle. R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
RE: You're Fighting for your life and neighbors are simply watching and listening...
