RE: Pick up lines

@ Solamente....ooooohhhh, a cannon! heart beating

RE: Pick up lines

rolling on the floor laughing Solamente! Sorry, lead is deadly.

RE: Pick up lines

Love, depends on if she's interested....or not! laugh

RE: Pick up lines

Love, then you might risk hearing Is that a pencil in your pocket or are you just glad to see me? laugh

RE: Pick up lines

You could always try "what's a beautiful woman like you doing in a place like this?" laugh

For most women, I think sincerity works best.

RE: The Die Is Cast

Rain, I'm on board with KNenagh and Pieceacake. There will always be fakes online, but they're few compared to the number of real people. It's unfortunate that negative behavior seems to always receive more press We just have to recognize and accept that it happens and understand it isn't personal. Your blogs and posts are interesting and thoughtful. No one here wants to see you leave. bouquet

RE: Shook'ums", Just sleep it off...

@ Solamente & KNenagh....Too right.

RE: say anything blog

Hi Lindsy...I understood your blog and posted according to what was happening at the moment and in a lighthearted way. Yes, I know about your fires in CA. It's been on the news daily...awful, awful stuff.

RE: Deleting

Deleting posts from your blog is silly. Seems to suggest intolerance by the blog owner.

Hi Solamente, I stuck with the topic! banana

RE: Night time

Hello Rain, sun's still up at 9 p.m. here, but the mornings are cooler. I love winter and am out every day no matter what the weather or the temperature even if it's -40C. In the evenings, it's a brisk 45 minute to an hour walk. Staying indoors is like a prison sentence for me. moping

You look lovely with your new hairstyle.

RE: Why Doesn't Anybody Ever Help?

Actually, I teach conversation as that is what they will need to be able to find work. professor

RE: Why Doesn't Anybody Ever Help?

Be careful what you ask for, Catfoot! laugh

I volunteer teach English as a second language a couple of nights a week to adults who have just moved here who have little or no English. We have a lot of fun in our classes.

RE: Why Doesn't Anybody Ever Help?

rolling on the floor laughing Catfoot! cheers

RE: Why Doesn't Anybody Ever Help?

Catfoot, maybe it isn't your English...perhaps it's your typing skills? rolling on the floor laughing hug

RE: Simple question

If someone is a narcissist, relationships sans emotions for the other person are a given.

RE: Why Doesn't Anybody Ever Help?

Perhaps because I grew up in a multicultural country and especially a small mining town with a lot of different nationalities, I read (or listen to) the message and don't bother with the grammar. I had no idea that English wasn't your first language, Catfoot! Bravo! applause

RE: clothes that talk for you

Then there was the T-shirt with a large photo of Phyllis Diller c/w cigarette in holder.

The caption read: SAY HELLO TO MY MOTHER

RE: The art of being humble ...

No, I didn't notice that you're in the Middle East. What a bummer! Okay, the Orangina is on me! laugh

RE: The art of being humble ...

Do you have wine to go with that pizza, Crazyheart? Being average, yesterday's vintage will do fine! cheers

RE: clothes that talk for you

I once saw a beautiful young woman wearing a T-shirt that read:

Your
Future
Ex-Girlfriend

heart wings

RE: The art of being humble ...

righto, crazyheart! Oh and thanks for the pie....apple is my favorite!

RE: The art of being humble ...

Crazyheart, my comment wasn't directed at you personally except for the 'Oops' part of it. It's just that I don't believe you need to apologize. And you don't need to defend yourself to me because I know you're always respectful with everyone. My point was that the witty comments lightened up a blog that (to me) didn't feel very nice. So... hug

RE: The art of being humble ...

Oops, I disagree Crazyheart. This is the best time for humour and wit. There's no sarcasm or nastiness in anyone's comments here. The humourous comments lighten up the tone of the original blog.....most of us don't take ourselves or others too seriously yet maintain our respect for each other. handshake

RE: The art of being humble ...

rolling on the floor laughing Catfoot!!!

RE: The art of being humble ...

Same here, pieceacake, which is why my photo is a rear view. rolling on the floor laughing

You need a sense of humour when reading the blogs. It isn't a matter of humility. Judgementalism is often out in full force.

RE: A One-Night Stand?

Pieceacake, very funny!! P.S. Hello and welcome!

RE: I am not into one night stands.

Not all men read women's profiles. If they did, they wouldn't email so indiscriminately. On the other hand, if women post suggestive photos of themselves, some men will judge them as ready to rumble when they may just be looking for some or any kind of attention. One night stands are like everyting else....works for some and not for others. Just like some people will have affairs while married while others won't. We can justify most things to ourselves.

RE: Puffy ankles

That's right, Elegs, full access to us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Sweet....but annoying at times.

Back to swollen ankles...my doctor also suggested water pills but I prefer not to take meds if I can help it. The other works very well with the added benefit of relaxation.

RE: Puffy ankles

Our pets love a captive audience, don't they? laugh

RE: Puffy ankles

I agree, Rain, it is relaxing. Ah, Elegs, don't be mean....pets just wanna have fun, too! When I'm at home, my dog and cat take up their positions....nothing better than having your owner hostage! laugh By the way, you may want to put a small cushion under your head for support.
