Yes, there are two sides to every story, and wouldn't it be nice to hear that other side? Fair's fair! I enjoy the blogs most of the time but definitely do not see them as a new beginning and/or an end to a grief stricken past....mostly because my past was quite pleasant.
Although perhaps airing one's soiled linens in public isn't such a bad thing. Sometimes we need a reminder and warning. It's always sad to see someone get hurt.
Happy Birthday, Willow! A friend once told me that birthdays are a celebration of life and a new "birth year" that will include change, challenges and excitement....January 1 shouldn't always be the start of a new year. Enjoy your special day!
Well, I for one do not like being too connected. My phone stays at home during the day when I'm at work and when I go shopping. If there's an emergency during the work week, people have my work number. If there's an emergency while I'm out shopping, they leave a message which I'll get when I get home. As I intensely dislike shopping, I'm never gone more than two hours at a stretch. If people who live near me a) text or b) email me to have a conversation, I keep it a) short or b) don't reply. If we can't get together, pick up the phone and call me. On the weekend, we were dining out. There was a young couple next to us working their phones like there was no tomorrow. Zero conversation except when the waiter brought their meals and they said "thank you". They continued to work their phones as they ate their meals. How sad is that?
A couple of winters ago when we had the Polar Vortex (who comes up with these names?), there were quite a few mornings when it was -45C on the walk to work. Talk about fresh air!!
Dog boots have become very popular in most parts of North America. Most dogs hate them, but they do protect their paws. I believe they were 'invented' by someone who raced the Iditarod. I will email you the brand name.
For you, proper winter outerwear including boots with rubber soles. Winter tires for your car. Coat and boots for the dog. she's short hair so needs the extra warmth and waterproofing and the boots will protect her paws from salt/grit on the sidewalks and streets. Forget about the dogsled....she'll be too interested in checking to see whose been around in her absence to bother with much else!
A very personal blog. Perhaps what's happenend is a blessing in disguise? You should travel to Ireland and spend time together...preferably longer than two weeks. Dreams are wonderful, but sometimes we allow them to deceive us. Hope everything works out as you have dreamt.
ha ha ha No disappointment at all! Shame you weren't allowed to vote, eh? Another little gem from the Harper Regime. I did wonder if Gretzky voted though????
Sands, not all people are unhappy when a divorce is finalized. I think it's very understandable and am very happy that you're happy. Group ! New beginnings are always so exciting and energizing!
Well, Sands, it's been an adventure! This is the beginning of the rest of your life as they say. I'm not much of a baseball fan...at least to watch it. Love playing the game though. There's a lot of excitement here over the Blue Jays....they sure know how to keep their fans in suspense!! And yes, the stockmarkets have been 'happy' this week! to you!
